Customer service and follow up in my opinion is virtually non existent. I guess if you have a mop and pail on stand by for the leaking products you should be OK

Our house was built in 1998 with Kolbe windows. We have had 3 window panes shatter in the last 6 weeks due to the seals giving way. 4 total to date. When we contacted Kolbe, all they did was send us their 20 year warranty policy. These windows are dangerous. When they break sharp shards of glass go everywhere. I feel like we are living in a house with ticking time bombs. Very disappointed!!!!!

I don’t even have windows yet but I HAVE to share my experience with the general public. My husband and I ordered out windows in September ’22 with the understanding, after the order was placed, that we would receive the order in March ’23. The week before the shipment date we found out our order was pushed to June ’23. We had a phone call with our local rep, the state rep and the top sales rep in Wisconsin. They informed us that it was now pushed until August, and I get the feeling that is not a solid date. We are not a small order, over $100K in windows, there are two other builders in our valley that are in the same position as us. I can’t put flooring down b/c no windows, can’t put my appliances in b/c no windows, can’t put cabinets in b/c no windows. How can a company, in good conscience, take large amounts of money and the flat out lie to their customer? Do I go to another window company? I won’t get windows before the snow flies, I have to ask my landlord to extend our lease, I have to buy storage for my cabinets and appliances b/c they have to be securely stored. You have put my husband and I through what was already an expensive experience a crushing financial debacle. My husband has been a custom home builder for 40 years. He has put Kolbe products in several of his clients homes but I have to say this experience with Kolbe has been such a disappointment that I need other people to hear this. Buyer Beware!

Kolbe do not stand behind bad installations. After spending $100k. I now have windows that make me sad on a daily basis. Some window cranks don’t work. Mesh is wrong sized. Doors won’t shut properly. It makes me want to sell and move.

Purchased and installed Kolbe Kolbe in our new house in 2004 in 2017 all Kobe windows exposed to weather with exception of those protected by our covered porches were in various stages of rot/decay! We had several Anderson windows installed at the same time and still do not have problems with them. I would not and will never use kolbe windows again!

I would give them a zero if possible! Don’t waste your money. my 9k square ft home has all Kolby windows. 3 large windows failed at 15 years, they would not replace them. The window frames completely rotted out and one open casement window fell out. Needless to say I had to replace 14 windows at my own expense after being installed by their representative at 15 years. No wonder they don’t guarantee their windows!!
