I think Romanoff is taking advantage of being a contractor for Home Depot. Otherwise, they will lose most of their customers. We had a kitchen backsplash replacement after removing the granite back panel on the wall. We got prepared by removing everything in the kitchen on the day of installation. The installer from Romanoff came and looked at it and said he has never removed a granite panel before and he is afraid he may scratch the countertop in the process. I called the company and talked to the manager. The manager also confirmed that they can not do it. I asked if they have the full order (in which it clearly states the removal of the granite back panel), he said he sees that it is included in the order. I also asked if he has the pictures of my kitchen (the Home Depot rep. took pictures and attached to the order when he came for measurement). He says he sees the pictures. I asked why they did not check the order and informed me ahead of time. There is no answer other than he is sorry. I had to cancel the order after waiting for more than a month. The problem is that because we place the order at Home Depot and installation is done by Romanoff, neither assumes any responsibility. I suggest that you avoid Romanoff (and Home Depot) if you can.
