Don’t waste your time with these incompetent people. We moved into a new construction home and needed one of our sliding doors adjusted to slide more smoothly and to update/upgrade some weather stripping on all of our sliding doors. The builders had purchased the windows from The Window Center. We called and have dealt exclusively with Micah Wolfe since beginning this arduous journey. The first time they were supposed to come to give an estimate, they didn’t show up. I called, they said they’d have to reschedule. They showed up to the next appointment and gave us an estimate, which we promptly agreed to and scheduled the work for about a month out. That day came, I hadn’t received a confirmation so I called that afternoon and spoke to Micah asking for an arrival time. He informed me they would need to reschedule because he couldn’t get his team to us that day. For the record, we live in Montrose, not the Woodlands or some far flung suburb. I also understand that jobs run over and schedules need to be adjusted. Instead of moving someone else that week, he pushed us out another 2 weeks. That day comes, I call again, to confirm the time. He tells me they can’t come because he personally didn’t order the weather stripping. An integral part of why they were coming. It was his own personal mistake etc. I was irritated but we stupidly rescheduled again for another 2 weeks. Cut to today, when I call to find out if/when they’ll be here and sure enough. They won’t. This time it’s because of the Derecho storm we just had hit Houston. I completely understand this. We were without power for 4 days ourselves. His excuse is they just got power back etc. Here is my issue this time. This would be our 3rd reschedule and I received ZERO communication about it over the weekend. I had to call yet again to find out IF/WHEN they would arrive. And, they were going to push us out another few weeks after we’ve been waiting for them for months. Again, I understand the chaos surrounding this time and I truly didn’t expect them to be here today. However, because it is our 3rd issue, they should have handled it much better. BTW, we had other contractors scheduled today and some showed up, some didn’t. But the ones who didn’t, called us over the weekend to let us know they wouldn’t be here. Don’t waste your time with these guys. You’ll just be disappointed and have to start over with another company. I can’t believe I wasted so much time on them.

Kristin and team at The Window Center were truly a pleasure to work with. We purchased a steel front door and windows for our new build from them. She and the team went above beyond throughout the process. They are extremely responsive, super detailed, and did a great job of providing prospective on how certain window/door decisions would impact other elements of the build. I cannot say enough good things about Kristin and team. They have a great local business and do an awesome job! Keep up the good work!

I discovered the Window Center and Kristin from my neighbor down the road from me. Greg informed me that during the building of his home that Kristin was a huge help to improve the elevation design and optimize the type of windows used. Greg showed me around his home and I had to agree. I reached out to Kristin with our home plans and Greg was right. Kristin’s expertise on metal doors and windows is superb. We updated our plans and she worked with our budget to maximize our views, windows and doors. She spent time with us over a few weeks to tweak everything and I could not be more pleased with the result. You will not find a better value for quality metal doors and windows…and obtain design guidance from a very talented lady, Kristin. Thanks again Kristin for all your help!

The window center provided all the windows and steel doors for our new home. Kristin was amazing! She helped us pick the correct windows that were superior quality for less money than our original plan. She also reviewed and enhanced our house plans. We recommend The Window Center for windows and doors !

The window center helped with one of my high end expensive listings to ensure the windows were in good condition prior to us selling. They were very professional and pointed out things that needed to be addressed, which improved the integrity of the home. I would highly recommend this company, Kristin & her father Kurt can walk a home and see things like no other contractor & are very knowledgeable.

They say no good deed goes unpunished…that is in fact what happened with my dealings with the Window Center when I decided to order patio doors through them to support small businesses. I could have easily ordered my patio doors from my contractor and let them deal with the order and logistics…but to my regret I did not. I went to the Window Center and spoke with Kurt Papp JR. I told him I needed 2 sliding patio doors at approximately 80×108 inches and needed the optimal quality and price, and quicker turnaround time. He suggested a few options including Western doors. He seemed very knowledgeable about the different products. He represented to me that if I went with Western, the turnaround time would be 4 weeks. Of course I proceeded with ordering 2 doors at nearly $12k total. Then I discovered that he ordered 96” height doors when I asked for 80” (my ceilings are 96” so that would not have worked). I called him over several days to correct the order and he never picked up. Then the owner called me to correct the matter. However after 4 weeks, I checked in on the order and they said that it would take 3 months. Another authorized vendor told me 8 weeks. To date, I have received no response and I have no doors. This is taking unfair advantage of consumers who only order patio doors likely once in their lifetime and depend on the sales rep. regarding what door dimensions and timing of order.

I personally met the owner today, and he was very helpful and very knowledgeable in all his products. And every person was very polite and professional. I would highly recommend the window center.

What started out as a very good experience turned very sour towards the end. A year ago, I stopped by The Window Center while driving through the neighborhood. Had a good chat with the owner, Kurt Papp and his son Jr. Since I live in a very strict HOA community, I wanted to make sure I followed all the rules in place when replacing windows and door. Senior gave me a lecture on all the possibilities of windows for my condo. They came to my place and did a rough measurement of windows and a sliding door for a quote. A month later, I decided to order the aforementioned material. Jr came to the house with an apprentice to take final measurements. I placed the order and after 8 weeks I received the goods. I was unable to execute the project and all the material was kept in my garage for almost a year. In March of this year, I finally decided to have everything installed. Windows were installed first. When assembling the sliding door frame, the installer noticed that the door did not fit. I checked the order and the size was wrong. The height was ONE INCH longer than the opening. I called them acknowledging that a year had passed and I knew I had missed the deadline to complain and therefore would accept the loss. However, I asked Jr to come here and see for himself the rookie mistake he had made. I wanted to give him the opportunity to learn from his mistake even though it cost me $1800. Jr called me on 03/09/22 saying he would stop by my house until the end of that week. Two months passed and nothing happened. In the meantime, I’ve sent numerous SMS messages asking him to contact me, but no response. I am extremely disappointed. Due to lack of commitment to customers, I do not recommend anyone to do business with this company.
