This is the 2nd house where I’ve hired Murphy’s and it will be the last. I’ve had to reach out countless times about fixing stuff they did. Installed new gutters but they didn’t slope them correctly so they were holding water. I’ve had to ask several times when they were coming to fix them. They finally showed and the whole gutter fell off the house bending it to hell. Again, I’ve reached out several times about fixing it. They build a porch addition on to my house and the nails are pulling out. Several asks of when they are coming to fix and nobody ever shows. The windows they installed are the worst, they are extremely drafty and at least one doesn’t close when you open it. I will absolutely NEVER use them again. Please save yourself the headache.

They are very expensive. We wanted to build a deck, and Jay said that he would work with us on price and that we were in good hands. They quoted us a price that was about 5 grand more than others a few days later. They want about 12 thousand just for labor. After saying he would work with us on price, we told him that the price he told us was a bit high. His first response to us was good luck! He said to make sure we went with someone we trust and that they have many years of experience when he was at our house, but yet they are a poorly reviewed company. I wouldn’t waste your time

Murphy installed roof on deck 2+ years ago. Getting work done was difficult as no one seemed to know who was coming when to do what. Once it was done. We had to have them return to redo shoddy work multiple times. Final straw is that the roof still leaks. We have had them out multiple times to “fix: it” It still leaks and response to my requests to speak with the owner are completely ignored. Service people do not call to let you know when they are coming so you may not be there to go over it with them. Owner doesn’t return calls either.

Jay has been very helpful with all our questions and working out what we are looking for and need for our home repairs. So much to choose from. Will add photos as work is being done. Step 1- replaced decking and roof. The Cobblestone gray looks so good. Step 2- replaced front door. Love how much light it allows in. Step 3- replaced the front porch pillars. Looks more welcoming. Step 4- added Owen Corning insulation before doing the siding. Step 5- finally the siding. It took about 3 1/2 weeks for them to do the siding and gutters. Finally done. From talks in office to being done it took a few months.

Murphy Home Improvement just installed 16 windows and one sliding door in our house. The installers were top notch. Professional, detail oriented, and knowledgeable. The package was a reasonable price and the product is high quality. I highly recommend this company for windows.

We had Murphy Home Improvement install replacement windows throughout our entire house back in 2005. They have been great since then, we haven’t had a single problem with them and still love them. They are casement windows so we crank them open. Long story short, I opened one and then couldn’t get it to close a day later. I called Murphy Home Improvement, their crews were on a big job so they sent Tom (the owner, he actually sold us the windows all those years ago) to check it out. It was complete operator error on our part, the lock was accidentally moved to the locked position which is why it wouldn’t close. The windows are still in perfect working order and Tom is still standing behind his work – not that there was anything wrong with it in the 1st place, just my own stupidity. Thanks Tom & Christy!

Only gave one star so I can do the review. I would have given no stars. 10 year roof and leak within 6 years. Took them three months come out and fix. Now have another leak and will not even call them to fix it, I’ll just get a new roof from another reliable workmanship company.
