I have two patio doors. One of them was broken. The company replaced a LoE glass door for me which has two glasses. As the owner explained, the outside is LoE and the inside is clear glass. A month later, on a sunny day I found out the new glass door was quite hotter than my original one installed fourteen years ago. My original patio door was 88F and the new one was 93F. I knocked on the glasses. The new glass door sounded hollow and my original one sounded more solid. The reason was my original door has Argon gas installed. I went to the shop and asked the owner. He said he did not install the Argon gas and the result is the insulation is not as good. During the conversation, he reviewed that the process of adding the Argon is simple and the cost is minimal. The price is the same! He said the reason that he did not put the Argon gas in my glass door was I only order the glass and it was my fault not to ask him to put it in. Mind you I did not know it needed to add the Argon gas in order to improve the insulation. He sells his product and he should be an expert in this area but he chose not to add the gas in the glass even though the process and cost is minimal as he claimed. I would say the company is cutting corners of its products and hiding things from the customers. Today I found out it is the Argon gas. Tomorrow it will be something else until the customers found out and he would have said the customers did not ask the right questions. My recommendation is to avoid this company and it is the reason why it remains as a small shop.

Very pleased with the quality of this company. We had a giant garden window replaced. The replacement is a few inches deeper and custom made to fit the width, and is beautiful and sturdy. The extra fancier molding they use for the inside makes the edges much more pretty than our original. No hassel. When they schedule the appointment, they show up on time. The crew is dedicated and spent a good 6 hours working on finishing our window in 1 day. Very fairly priced and pleased they took on our 1 window project. Thanks Lumiere Windows and Doors! Will contact you for future projects.
