Field mull units like it’s the early 2000s, complete with nail fin terminals to fill the gaps between frames, and foam to complete the nail fin corners. To top it all off, wrong screws in crank arm guides prohibiting function. Double sided tape exposed at sight lines. Mull your windows and use the right hardware! Installers aren’t manufacturers! Use specialized brackets to fix the windows together, and ship the unit on a 2×4. I don’t care about weight, what do you think installers have to do after they field mull a window? They pick it up! In addition to that, once its field mulled, you have to pick up a window that weighs 300 pounds that is only held together by a snap groove and no provided bracketry while fearing the unit will break apart in your hands while setting on 2 or 3 floor scaffold. I’d give 1 star but I would really like this to be considered for constructive criticism and see improvements. Let’s go Western!

Do not buy from this company. 1. While the windows seem like quality windows, the hardware is really bad. Even on initial delivery, several door handles etc are broken and the windows are really hard to operate. 2. This is the biggie – their service is non-existent. I have contacted them through my sales representative – that didn’t lead to anything, opened a ticket by calling them and that hasn’t led anywhere. They tell me that tech will have an office day on Fri and he will call me to schedule service – no calls. I am spending a lot of time trying to get thing fixed on a 200K+ windows order. And I would not have needed that service if their initial shipment was of high quality. This is the worst company that I have dealt with for warranty related service on my house. That should tell you something. =================== Update to my review. So the owner jumps in and says that the tech is scheduled for the 18th. Fine the tech comes in and a bunch of small parts need to be ordered before be can resolved the issues. It is almost a month – after that tech visit, there is no update and no ETA. So that should tell you how bad this company is – even with the owner seeing a bad review, their poor service continues.

Absolutely atrocious customer service.Two emails two phone messages and NOTHING.Our entire home features this companies’ products…we need parts and advice at times and are on our own as our local vendor in no longer reps Western.I can see why.GUESS I’ll HAVE DRIVE TO PHOENIX to pick up some simple clips.

5 stars on product but zero stars on service. I have an very large home full of commercial grade doors and windows from this company. They have performed well over the years. I recently left 6 (yes 6) voice messages for their service team as I had a few questions and needed some service and advice – not one of my calls was returned!!! When a customer spends tens of thousands of dollars on product you would expect they would return your calls. I certainly will not use this company for a large project I expect to begin later this year. I am now getting bids elsewhere!

I had been waiting months and months for Lifetime Windows to address a door repair and they kept giving me the run around. When I finally contacted Western (it is a Western door system) directly, within a few days they sent a repair crew out that fixed the door in a matter of minutes. The repair team of Marco and Joseph were professional, communicative, knowledgeable and prompt. It was a pleasure to work with Western.

The absolute WORST customer service. We purchased and installed 20′ wall system and a 24′ wall system. One of the panels in the 20′ wall system spontaneously broke. I called Western for help and they said basically “yeah find a contractor on our website and they can order a new one. we don’t warranty and we can’t help.” So I had to call vendors in my area and finally found one willing to do it. FIVE THOUSAND dollars and 2 months shipping time later they installed the new panel and Western had not shipped a crucial part so there is air blowing in between the panels. ANOTHER TWO MONTHS LATER I am still waiting on the part from Western. If I could change anything in my remodel it would be buying these Godforsaken window systems from Western Windows. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

While our doors are beautiful, they leak horribly when it rains. We could never leave our home in a rainstorm unless we wanted to come home to damaged floors by our Western Windows Doors. I’ve made multiple attempts to reach customer service without any response whatsoever.

I’ve tried to contact Western Window Systems several times and no response. I’ve heard great things about their products. However, I am having major issues with their authorized reseller in Houston, including placing the wrong measurements, misrepresenting when doors will be ready, and ignoring calls and emails. According to the resellers “I should have known that miscommunications happen all the time in the industry” and I should deal with it. To the contrary, I’m a homeowner just trying to order some patio doors. There’s also a clear distinction between miscommunication and misrepresentation. Update: Western contacted me right away to help resolve the issue. The problem that I had was with the authorized seller and they were empathetic about my situation. Western was able to help expedite my patio doors. The doors are great quality. Will do business again.

Had 2 sliders and 1 door installed by group in Dallas. They were both the supplier and installer. Only 1 of the 3 doors works 100% correctly. The swing door locking mechanism won’t engage without leaning on the door and one of the sliders has a massive air gap. The inside of the door frosted over this past winter and a ton of outside noise travels through the air gap. Not sure if it is the manufacturer or installer, but leaving the same review on both.
