We had our siding replaced with LP SmartSide by Jose and his crew. They were super professional, extremely clean, and respectful of the neighbors’ property. They worked with us to tweak our design slightly for a better final product. I’d recommend Jose and his crew highly!

Had selected Genesis for a full residing of our home, their representative came out with color samples that allowed us to see what product would be best. Once the selection was made it was a short wait for product delivery and then installation. Their crew was outstanding, stripped off the old cedar siding, rewrapped the house and put up the new “diamond” finish emerald green siding. Under two weeks for a 7400 square foot home, and the worksite was cleaned up every day. Crew boss was outstanding, making sure all appropriate areas were caulked, all scraps disposed of. Wholeheartedly impressed and will recommend Genesis to all my friends.

Genesis Exteriors exceeded our expectations across the Board I absolutely love our home, a Tudor-style home built in 1984 on 6 acres of pasture, woods and stream. I call it my Tudor Princess Castle. The castle’s wood siding has been under siege from the elements and nefarious woodpeckers for 40 years. Different owners have patched it in different ways here and there, but the adorable dormers were literally untouched in 40 years. We needed to fully reside the whole thing. We had multiple companies here to give us opinions and estimates on vinyl, LP Smart Side and James Hardie board. We chose LP Smart side, and Genesis stood out from the beginning. Kevin, our salesman, gave us honest opinions on type of siding without once being salesy—no push to schedule more time or foist a contract on us. The Expectation Exceeder: He would not guarantee that woodpeckers would leave the siding along, particularly since I insist on feeding birds, but he said Genesis would always stand behind their job and return to fix it, if they did damage it, at time and materials. While I loved the Tudor style for its uniqueness and tie to our German ancestry, I wanted to modernize, while still remaining in tune with our beautiful natural setting. Kate, our Genesis designer, came out with many samples and supported my vision. The Expectation Exceeder: She made intriguing color suggestions and put up with my tweaks until we nailed it. The experience was great so far, but the part of the project that left us with our mouths hanging open was Jose and his crew of 6 installers. They came out early, music playing, singing and cheerful banter flying and impressed us with their perfectionism and attention to detail. Under the tattered covers of my 40-year-old castle, they had to deal with missing sheeting, damaged insulation and archeological digs of bird, bee and bat nests. In only 4 days they left us with a castle that not even a box elder bug could infiltrate. We took pictures to show the super flashing jobs around windows, doors, dormers, chimney and brick walls. We got comments, “Now, that’s some serious flashing!” The Expectation Exceeders: Jose came to me with a different suggestion for how to frame around our front door. He worked with me on the spot to come up with something perfect. They built flashed boxes for every light, outlet and mechanical thing coming into the house, even redoing one for my Engineer. The lines on the siding boards and the caulking job are laser precise. My princess castle leapt into the 21st century looking brand new! Every member of the Genesis team was a joy to work with. Their experience and desire to build relationships shows. Jim came out to order materials and Scott managed the job site. They obviously are a well-oiled machine. We were left with only a couple boards of siding and trim in each color, and they left us with the remaining touch-up paint colors. The yard was left raked and blown cleaner than they found it. We were left with dopey, delighted smiles on our faces. We highly recommend Genesis Exteriors for your home projects!

So incredibly pleased with the talented design and professionalism that Jen and Kate provided! They helped to design a beautiful and comfortable family room in my home, that looks cohesive and chic, yet with materials intended for durability and where a busy family of 5 with young kids will spend lots of time over the years. I had been stumped for nearly a year in how to furnish and organize this narrow rectangular space. The fireplace and the piano were opposite each other on the narrow walls and I couldn’t figure out how to make the room work. I was reluctant to consider design help, as once, years prior I had a bad experience with a designer where I felt my ideas were met with a bit of hand waving and that only some of the most expensive pieces were recommended. (That relationship didn’t move past the first consultation visit.) With Jen and Kate, I did not have that sentiment at all. In the first visit they asked me my ideas and helped me to conceptualize a design layout for the room. We discussed a budget upfront (that would be in addition to their fee) and we largely worked within this throughout the project. At times, I decided to hold on ideas based on budget, that could be revisited (or not) at a later time and never felt this was an issue with the project. They focused on incorporating any existing art or furniture that was important to me to anchor the design concept around. They were also mindful to ensure the design would be cohesive with other areas of the home. At the next meeting, Jen and Kate presented a software designed schema of the room they’d created with furniture pieces indicated in appropriate areas we’d discussed- all laid out to scale on this schema relative to the room! The design schema even included possible built in shelving we’d discussed. With that layout as a reference in front of me, they then showed me examples of possible furniture pieces to choose from for each indicated spot on the schema layout. Each presented piece had specific measurements to ensure the items would fit appropriately in the space. All of this was presented on their laptop, like a slideshow, though also had print outs for me of the design schema, all the furniture options, different shades of paint colors we’d discussed. We could then mix and match different options on the table like a montage to get the overall feel. I felt no pressure to purchase any certain item or to use any certain vendor- it really was as simple as what worked best for the space and my needs, and within my aesthetic and budget. Side note- they do NOT order the pieces you decided upon. Once decisions are made, they will give a detailed list with item numbers and where to purchase so that the client can do this on their own. I didn’t realize this initially, possibly just naïve to designer workflow, but it really does work best so I could arrange delivery with the furniture stores, pay them directly etc. It wouldn’t have made sense for Jen and Kate to be a middle person on those points. Similarly, they can recommend painters, wallpaper professionals, and contractors for projects if desired, though also support getting additional quotes from others of your choice and getting the services per your preference (I used Genesis painters- very happy, did not use Genesis contractor for shelf building, and used an independent handyman for wall art/picture hanging). Overall, they were both immensely respectful throughout the entire process in listening to my preferences, being mindful of the budget, taking feedback to offer different options at times, and also comfortable in offering guidance on why an idea may/may not work the best. Very prepared, professional, prompt with text/ calls/ email communications. Can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend their consultation and talent as part of an investment in any interior design project. 10 out of 5 stars!
