The sales person who came to our house was personable and professional, and was here for about 45 minutes. We were looking to replace a front entry door with sidelight. We called Square Oaks because their TV ads say they are 20-50% less than most others who do similar work. We were truly appalled when the quote started at $12,900! Then the game playing started with discounts if we signed immediately, allowed a sign promoting Square Oaks in our front yard, etc., bring the price down to $10,400. Then a little pressure that the business is veteran owned, they donate to various charities that support veterans and so forth. None of that justified that kind of outlandish price. Oh, and if we did not sign before the salesman left, the price would go up $650! Plus we would have to pay for an entirely new lock set, which we did not need, but his computer software would not let him “deselect” that from the order, so we would be forced to purchase something we did not need. Overall, a truly disappointing experience. We have had three other quotes, one from Tri-City Glass & Door and two local home improvement/builders in the Manitowoc area that ranged from $5600-6000. Needless to say, we do not move any further from Square Oaks. Instead of being 20-50% LESS they are DOUBLE what others offer. Just ridiculous.

Phase 1 of new windows in our house was an absolute success. The communication throughout the whole process was outstanding. Pam who helped us design the windows was so incredibly informative and helpful with picking out what window design to go with, what pane and color of the window. Ian did a phenomenal job installing our windows. He was extremely thorough and ensured everything was done correctly and paid attention to the smallest detail. We both were working from home and Ian kept us updated on where they were in the process and about how much work was left. We cannot speak more highly of Ian. He even showed us how to use the windows (upgrading from 1984 windows to present day windows) and explained the how and the why’s of how the windows were installed. Ian and the installer with him were very professional, knowledgeable, respectful of our home and friendly. Thank you Pam, Jenn & Ian. Such an awesome team. We are so happy with the process, communication, affordability that we moved forward with phase 2 with Square Oaks. My grandpa and a friend booked square oaks to do there windows as well. Could not recommend a better company for your window & door needs.

We split replacement of 16 windows into 2 installs. Pam made the process easy, took time to explain our options, and worked around our schedule when needed. The installers were also very good. I needed someone to arrive at a specific time prior to starting work on the first day and they were able to accommodate my request. The crew was respectful of our property and home, completed the work in the time they said they would, and had a follow up visit to verify the work was done to our expectations. This is excellent service and we will definitely look to Square Oaks for future projects.

Recently had Square Oaks install several windows in my house. They worked with my schedule of being gone for my surgery. Installers were knowledgeable, professional, and did a good job. I only have one complaint and that is when they did measurements they left too big of allowance. I want windows to allow light into my house. If I wanted more framing I could have I could have gotten the masons to brick up the opening. With this said they had to add a large quarter round trim to cover the gap between the old opening to the new window. Installers did a great job working with what they had. With the larger trim it blocks you from accessing the lock from the outside edge. It also fills the area where our blinds are to be attached. Only one complaint but affects several things. With this one complaint YES I would still be considering Square Oaks when I can afford to replace more of my windows.

I explained ahead of time to Square oaks I didn’t have a clue what windows cost, how it works or if I could even afford it at this time. Most places would run if they know you are not dead set to spend money right now. These guys still said that’s ok, we can get you in the right direction either way. Pam stopped by and was very nice and not pushy at all. She went over multiple options that we could use depending on our needs and long term plans for the house. She didn’t sit here all night going over things again and again trying to get us in a contract. It was nice to have her break it down for me answer question’s and go over how we could save money, find the best value or customize if that was our wants. She didn’t try and push the most expensive windows, she found out what would work best for us and gave me a breakdown and the information needed. I can’t say anything to the quality of work at this point yet as we just got a quote but I can say based on how I’ve been treated so far and their time spent on me while not stealing 4 hours of my day pushing 20k worth of windows when not needed, this is a company I would trust to work on my house.
