WINN Design + Build 4 months agoWe engaged WINN for a significant renovation including a kitchen overhaul, carpentry, floors, electrical, venting, painting and built-ins throughout our house. We had a vision of what we wanted but worked well with their design team to get ideas and feedback. The project was challenged when our design coordinator left the firm late in the design phase, but they made sure the timeline was not impacted. The architectural team brought practical solutions to the plans considering how the house is structured and used. Our project manager, Conrad, was wonderful, being detail-oriented, flexible with details and ensuring subcontractors completed their work timely and accurately. When our hardwood floors were sanded and stained with the wrong color, they made sure the work was redone at the subcontractor’s expense. Due to family issues, we needed to stay in the house throughout the renovation and Conrad made sure we only had to leave the house during the flooring work.

Virginia Kitchen & Bath – Mclean a month agoHaving a bathroom renovated is a fairly stressful situation, but Virginia Kitchen & Bath made it far less stressful. Kemal Boyraz was pleasant and professional to work with and made several excellent design suggestions. Incredibly, he even responded promptly to my request for a last minute change while he was on a business trip in Italy! The project manager, Ata Matuş was also prompt, professional, helpful and extremely responsive. He kept me advised of any minor problem or delay (of which there were very few) and acted quickly to make a change when I did not like a trim that had already been installed – even though it meant redoing part of a wall. His crew were, without exception, courteous, considerate and attentive to keeping disruption and dust down as much as possible. They also did excellent work and even came back after 7 pm to fix a minor leak. All in all, a very positive experience with excellent results.

Monumental Contractors 3 weeks agoI just want to thank everyone at Monumental who was part of this project, including those who have moved on and those who work behind the scenes to make this happen. In a couple of days I’ll proudly welcome my first overnight guest into this beautiful space. My project was a merger of two adjacent condos. From the sales reps first visit and his return a week later with the designer, I knew Monumental would be a fantastic fit. Throughout the 11 month wait for DC permit approval and the 3 months of actual work, I have been very satisfied with everyone’s professionalism and willingness to collaborate throughout the process. I am grateful to Adriana, Julio, Marlon, Sergio, Edwin and even, to me, for giving each other the grace and patience a project like this needs. The abided by all of the agreements we put in place to minimize the impact on my neighbors and for communicating so I knew what to expect along the way. The project wasn’t nearly as disruptive as I imagined and I’m so glad that I was able to remain in the building to help make decisions and avoid unnecessary delay. During the few times when things didn’t go according to plan, I always felt like we were on the same team, looking for creative solutions, and that you were invested in my happiness with the outcome. This was also lovely because I got to know everyone. I loved my home before, but I love it twice as much now. Gilbert, I will confidently pass on referrals for big projects and will start saving for my own kitchen and bathroom remodels. Don’t worry, that will take me quite a while.

Ideal Construction & Remodeling 4 months agoWe can recommend this company extremely highly. It is difficult to think of any aspect of our construction project they did not do well. We appreciated their consistent quick responsiveness, clear communication, attention to detail, flexibility, consultation and consideration of our views, coordination and planning, (the right supplies and people at the right time), Their skilled work crews were polite and considerate, showed up on time, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Most important, the workmanship was excellent. We are totally satisfied with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Ideal Construction & Remodeling.
