Charlie was on time for the consultation we scheduled with him. He was very thorough in explaining the options available to us as we considered replacing our front door. He worked with us on pricing and got us to a place where we felt confident in our decisition to move forward with his Pella team. We are are looking forward to our new door installation!

Charlie showed up on time and was able to provide several different options when quoting a replacement for our front door. He even pointed out areas in which we could save money, including a partial DIY collaboration. Highly recommended.

Here was my experience working with Pella; 1) Good quality: Mine wasn’t custom made, but it still looks great. The hired subcontractors were very professional. This is why I gave them 4 stars, its a nice product but there are a few items you should know. 2) High pressure sales tactics: Sales guy was nice and knowledgeable, but, he tried to close the sale same day we got our estimate. They offer you a 5% discount if you sign same day. It’s not a huge deal, but know this going in, I wish I did, it would have changed how I engaged with them for the first step. 3) Not custom made: During the home sales pitch, they told me both my window and door would be custom made; hence the long lead time and price justification. At install, I found out it’s all standard size/mass produced and they have make on-the-spot modifications to my home for installation….but very well done. 4) Its not 100% Pella: I specifically asked if they use outside contractors, I was adamantly told no, and it was a benefit of going with Pella “everything was in-house”. This is not true, they use third party contractors for installation, not a Pella employee as you’re lead to believe. Found this out at install. Finally, they really push the google reviews, my sales guy followed up just to ask if I had made a review yet….this was a day or so after I signed the contract, no work had been done, how can anyone write a review without the final results? I think most of the reviews on here, are post-contract pre-install, for what that is worth. Oh, and they want payment up-front…(see item #2 again). Despite this quasi negative review I would recommend them and their product, but would make that person aware of my experience so they can make informative/strategic decisions.

Charlie helped us SO much when we were unsure about next steps to replace our outdated front door and sidelights. I had checked out a number of companies for price comparison, and went with Pella because of their helpfulness, door options, timeliness, price, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Charlie came out to our house three times to make sure all our questions were answered while showing us all options for the door. We are very happy and would highly recommend Charlie and Pella!
