Installation was HORRIBLE. The worst I’ve ever seen. Slovenly workmanship, Items were installed incorrectly. Damage to purchases, and damage to our house.

If you want quality work done for a reasonable price Duro windows is the place to go. Nico and his team went above and beyond in helping me execute the project to the exact specs requested.

I had posted a negative review of this company previously, then I took it down at their request once they FINALLY (after nearly a year) resolved the issues they caused in my home. I regret the decision to remove my initial review and I don’t have a copy of it. Upon initial installation, this company damaged my paint and walls, destroyed all of my blinds, and installed the windows incorrectly – pictures are attached, though they do not do justice to the extent of damage caused; previous to their work my home had no damage. I could not even use the windows subsequent to their first installation attempt, after which they told me the job was done, disregarding all of the damage they had caused and the non-functional windows in my home. I had to follow up with them MULTIPLE times and I also filed a report with the BBB. When they actually showed up they were almost always late, and sometimes even a no-show. The owner replaced the installation team with new people (firing the old crew) and brought in a subcontracted carpenter to help remedy their horrendous job and the destruction they caused to my home, including replacing my all of blinds since my old ones were destroyed to the point that they were unusable. Finally everything seemed in order so at their request, I took down my negative review. I regret ever doing business with them – my previous windows were old and drafty, and though these windows are supposed to be insulated, they are no better. Now, the subcontractor this company used (VIP Contracting) has informed me that the owner of Duro Windows has refused to pay him and also has not paid the installation team. The subcontractor is threatening to put a lien on my unit even though I paid my invoice in full to Duro Windows (of which I have proof). Although I have no fault in this matter, I am still dealing with the fallout of my unfortunate engagement with this company. Duro Windows also did work on many other units in my building at the same time as my windows were replaced and a large percentage of them had issues or needed remedial work to rectify the poor quality job done by Duro. DO NOT USE DURO WINDOWS. **UPDATE 9/20/2023** The subcontractor, VIP Contracting, informed me that because of this review, the payment matters were settled between them and Duro Windows. They both requested, as part of their settlement, that I remove this review. While I’m happy that everyone who should be paid for their work finally did get paid, THIS NIGHTMARE HAPPENED TO MY FAMILY. I am a single mom, I want you to know that regardless of your family or income status, you can indeed stand up to the people who are trying to take advantage of you. I want people to know to not use these businesses for their own good so that they do not suffer the consequences I had to deal with. ***I WILL NEVER REMOVE THIS REVIEW***

I highly recommend Duro Windows & Doors. After obtaining a total of four estimates, I chose Duro Windows & Doors to replace living room windows and a sliding door. Although the estimate was not the lowest quote I received, thanks to discussions with Niko I knew exactly what I was getting for the money and I had confidence that I was paying a fair price for quality products. One of the items that really stood out to me was that Duro Windows & Doors has a beautiful and inviting showroom that allowed me to see my options in person. Niko is very knowledgeable and patient in explaining the various brands and products offered. On installation day, Niko and the rest of his team did a great job. I was especially impressed with the workmanship applied to details (e.g., wood moldings, window sills). Duro Windows & Doors provided quality products and installation. I would hire them again without hesitation.

I wish to say that the people at Duro Windows are very helpful and interested in doing a professional quality job. They were always polite and responsive to any questions I might have . Their installation was done thoroughly and they were very courteous.

Every time i Called Duro windows, Niko was on point with the phone call. he came out all the way to the bronx to measure my windows and had them repaired or changed the windows. He is a great person to work with and very reasonable price. I also used him at my other house to replace 8 windows because they were old and would let the draft come in. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Niko and crew were on time, paid attention to every detail to ensure a proper installation. Clean, precise, and fair. We’ve used this company multiple times for doors and windows. Very happy and will use them again in the future.
