We are new to the area, and when we began looking for sliding glass door replacement, our son recommended we include Scherer among the sales reps. Scherer had installed windows in the house they built 20 years ago, and he was pleased with the service and quality of product. We met with six sales reps, and we found Kevin from Scherer to be knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions; he also conveyed understanding about our needs, preferences, and financial constraints. He had worked for the company as an installer, so he was familiar with product and process. We felt able to make an informed decision to get the best quality for the best price. Each member of the team: contact and dispatcher, sales, delivery, and installer were professional and top notch. Doug, the installer, is a master craftsman. The sliders and framing appear to be of great quality, and we couldn’t be more pleased. It’s great to deal with a local company who understands products that will endure many Minnesota seasons and continue to give good service.

We have used Scherer several times over a number of years as we gradually replaced windows and doors. They have always done good work. We received clear and timely communications about when the installers were coming and whom to expect. The installers were professional. This time there was a manufacturer’s flaw in one of the windows. Scherer sent a very knowledgeable service tech who corrected the problem.

Amazing company to work with! Everything went so smoothly from the consultation through the install! I had two other consultations with other window companies, but chose to get with Scherer Window & Door consultants since they sell Marvin Infinity Windows (fiberglass). I first learned about the Marvin Infinity Window from a YouTube channel called Houston Window Experts. Just look at how high quality the seals on the windows are, and how the corners come together so nicely. After seeing an in depth review I just knew this was the right window to go with! Usually it’s recommended to go with fiberglass if you live in a climate with constant fluctuating temperatures, like Minnesota has. Jaime was the rep who did the consultation with me. He was friendly and very helpful. He even changed the direction the sliding windows opened to help get more efficient airflow in the bedrooms. The contractor and crew did a wonderful job installing the windows. They were also very friendly. They even primed the trim so all I had to do was put the final coat of paint on and putty some nail holes. I even received a follow up call within an hour after the crew had finished up! Overall an A+ experience!

5 stars for sure. It was a great experience working with the sales team to pick out or sliding glass door. The installers did a fantastic job and explained the install throughout the day. Very professional staff and experience. Extremely good communication through the process. A+ job from start to finish. Would refer Scherer to anyone.

This is the second time we have used Scherer Bros. to purchase and install Marvin windows. We just had 3 windows replaced in our upstairs and had an amazing experience. The process was seamless from the quote to installation. Great communication and nice professionals working in our home. Highly recommend for a great experience and quality work.

Scherer Window was the best. Their salesman Kevin was knowledgeable, professional and helpful. They communicated with us all the steps that would take place and any changes if needed. The door is beautiful beyond our expectation. The installers were awesome. They arrived as scheduled, definitely went above and beyond to make the project completed on time and professionally done.

We chose Scherer Window & Door to replace our classic original door from 1939. We believed Scherer would offer a high-quality door in a style that fit our house. We were not disappointed: excellence in options and installation! We highly recommend Scherer.
