We were very pleased with the service provided by Mike and Ed today (independent window). They were professional, courteous and completed the job in a timely manner. My husband and I were both able to continue with our work schedule without interruption. We are repeat customers and happy to be so. We have found, as we have worked with independent window over the last few years that when they have made a mistake, they have taken care of it. We will continue to use them for our window repairs.

Ordered on app and when I got there, no workers were visible, and many customers sitting at tables just waiting for food. Nobody working behind counter. Every 10 minutes or so an employee brought out a bag of food for someone. Orders were all 45 minutes late. Ridiculously bad service.

Ed, Brandon, Zain and Joe came out and replaced six sashes with glass and grills. They also rebuilt the corresponding bottom of the casement frames. The windows and surrounding woodwork were pre-painted at their shop using customer supplied paint. The finished job looks outstanding. This team is welcome back anytime. They are professional and easy to work with. Their craftsmanship is evident in all the work. I highly recommend this team and the company. I noticed a few concerns after doing a walk around and added some pictures to exemplify the concerns. First, three sashes or grills are installed upside down. The horizontal rails on the grills show the seam. The other three sashes have the grills correct, that is, the seam is on the underside. The second concern is the sill (not sure of the nomenclature) that sticks out. The original sill was more flush with the actual sash. And finally, the window that opens appears to be short and has a large gap at the bottom where snow build up or rain can enter under the window and cause the sill to rot. I wish I had caught these concerns before the installer left, it would’ve been easier to resolve.

They don’t service Pella windows. I called to schedule an appointment, and I was clear in my call that I had a Pella casement window and that Pella couldn’t fix it. They said they’d take a look and might still be able to repair the sash on it. They were booking 6 weeks out, so I made an appointment and waited. When my appointment arrived, he walked in, glanced at the window once and handed me a post-it note he’d prewritten with Pella’s phone number on it and said to call them because they don’t do Pella. The entire interaction was less than 30 seconds. Utter waste of time.

Unfortunately I had bad experience with them. Cutting wrong size of the window that wouldn’t fit they broke it and couldn’t finish the job. While putting the old glass back they destroyed my window frame. Had to wait 4 days for them to come back and do their job. When asked to repair what they broke… was shocked to see they patched it with silicone!! On wood frame window. Didn’t get any discount nor apologies for taking so long and destroyin mypooperty.

We have used I.W.R. three times and they have never disappointed. Dan provides the initial evaluation of needed work and estimate. Nicole manages the appointments, process and is available for questions. The workmen are experienced, competent and highly professional. Eric and Jerry were excellent in all respects. They made sure that all windows were operational and insulated while other windows were refurbished. We are grateful for the amount of money saved by making such repairs. We have recommended I.W.R. to family and neighbors without reservations.

Awful experience. They replaced one board around a window and left a much more rotted one there. They said the other boards were fine but when they were checked out by another company they were found to be extremely rotted to the point you could push the wood with your fingers. Also they didn’t correctly address – or advise me on how to correctly address – huge holes the size of a softball in the plywood from all the rot. They said they “caulked it in”. The size of a softball…caulked in. Seems to me they only did what they felt like would be easy and nothing else. Their window repair did not last very long either.
