QKB Kitchen & Bath Design Center a year agoI’m new to Berkshire County. The condo I bought has an outdated kitchen, so I started the process of contacting kitchen places & considering my options for how to help improve my new home. Tanya got back to me fairly soon, and I liked that she explained things in a thorough manner as to how the potential remodel would take place and the steps involved in planning this project I desire. She was also very friendly & kind, personable /helpful and I really looked forward to meeting her! We scheduled an in-home appointment to consult & assess the state of my kitchen and what could be done to give it a facelift & modest upgrade. I was so eager, I even went with the co-owner of my place to their shop to have a look around, only to discover they were closed when we went by. None of my calls were ever returned after that and my appointment was blown off. The region was expecting a sizeable storm, so I called to ask to reschedule and left my information on their voicemail and I made it clear I am very interested and please call me back to reschedule, that I intend to do this project but the weather will not be safe. I was never notified nor followed up with, and it’s as though the place never existed. They had no reviews, just pictures on Facebook and then I discovered an angry review on Yelp or somewhere, which was really concerning because the client sounded like they were in the right and not a single other testimony which causes one to wonder how legit they are. Furthermore, they have updated picture on Facebook but seem perfectly content with blowing people off, this is deplorable & inexcusable!! I’ve now resorted to recruiting kitchen companies with numerous reviews and decades of history /solid reputations from Chicopee, my home city. Yes these companies both showed up and were WONDERFUL and a local gave me the blow off!! It’s sadly been the case of the area since relocating there, no professional commitment or serious ethical conduct/standards, crooked and unreliable seems to be the norm and I realize why so many homes are in disrepair and outdated in the Berkshires as these aren’t reputable contracting companies or true professionals. Luckily after my schooling is completed, I’ll be moving on but I felt to warn others in case you consider QKB for your kitchen/home remodel, you may want to consider looking outside the region for something of this magnitude/cost because to do business, you don’t want a business that devalues us like we’re a dime a dozen & not worth their time or acknowledgement. It takes five minutes if that, to call a client back. They don’t have any excuse and are just jerks. .
