I contacted Dependable Shutters & Glass (DS&G) to fulfill MySafeFloridaHome weatherization program. I’m very pleased with the work they did, this was in August of 2023, and I am still happy with the work. Everyone, from the owners, office workers, to the installers, were helpful, honest, and professional. The installers were in my house for 3 days, they were courteous, friendly and trustworthy. Every day they cleaned up after themselves. The manager checked in frequently to see how things were going. Surita was extremely helpful with MySafeFloridaHome requirements.

We needed some repairs to our accordion shutters and as soon as we contacted Dependable Shutters and Glass, every employee we met or spoke to by phone was friendly, professional, dependable and thorough. They had clear pricing, met all deadlines and we passed our inspection with flying colors. Recently had 3 doors installed and I can’t say enough about how smooth and flawless the process was. Our impact Door installed by DS&G needed an adjustment as the door strike plate would not engage with the handle lock. I called and emailed photos of the Issue and Surita who promptly set up an appointment Art came, analyzed the problem, made the necessary adjustments to the door and lock. He is great….professional, polite, knowledgeable, and patient, Covered the floor with a tarp and left the place perfectly clean and the repair complete. Thank you Surita and Art for your help in scheduling and completing the repair. An outstanding, reliable, and efficient company, always at the ready to stand behind their work.

They choose to whom they provide services. In 2020, a guy from this company came to our townhouse to fix a shutter and he completely broke it by dropping it from the 2nd floor. Thank God no one was hurt. They fixed it (I paid for a new motor) and gave 1 year of free lubrication. Last August the same shutter stopped working and I called them. A guy came to our place and took a lot of pictures. He said a technician would come to fix it. No one came. I sent messages and the boss was supposed to call me. No one called me. Now in April 2024, I called them and found out that they are downsizing their business and will not repair any unless they installed them themselves. (Ours were installed by someone before we moved in, and Dependable Shutter and Glass installed a new motor on the shutter in 2020). And the owner said they only take single-family home customers now, not townhouses or condos. It took me more than half a year to figure this out.

The team took time to walk me through all the steps, gave me time to consider my options, and handled the dreaded permit process with the city. They helped me get the best deal and now the windows look just the way I wanted. My installer Chris, was knowledgeable, professional and available for questions at all times when needed. I had a great experience with this company. My salesman Rob was knowledgeable and answered several questions by text after his initial estimate, there was no pressure to sign a contract. Wayne, the owner, does the final measurements himself. The team that did the installation, Chris, Deny, Ricardo, Pat, Devon and Chris were always on time and couldn’t have done a neater, cleaner job. Communicating with the office with any questions always got a quick response. If you’re considering impact windows, these are the guys to call!
