CMC Review CMC Windows and Doors recently replaced six windows in my 1942 bungalow. To begin, René and his crew did an outstanding job removing, reframing and installing the new windows. The team was very pleasant to have around, they were extremely neat and the workmanship was exemplary. Older windows were also repaired to mitigate leaks. A beautiful completion of my project was the painting of all work, by Rob. His lines are straight and the painting is perfect. I appreciate the advice he gave me regarding color selections. Rob was very tidy and respectful from start to completion. Everyone on the project was calm and considerate. This was a positive, professional experience and a job well done. All work and materials that Justin quoted were completed, on schedule and with regular communication throughout the process. I wholeheartedly recommend CMC Windows & Doors and will use them to complete my remodel.

I was referred to CMC windows by my sister and had a great experience. Justin did a wonderful job coordinating my order, and Rene and his installation team were efficient and did excellent work! This was one of my best experiences with a contractor team, and I would highly recommend them if you’re thinking about replacing your windows and doors!

I chose CMC because they are a full service window replacement company (stucco, trim, paint, window replacement – all of it). They did a wonderful job and I have referred several friends to them. They represent Pella and Marvin and we went with the Marvin windows. We replaced 23 windows and were able to choose what would best fit each room going room by room with their sales rep. Pricing included stucco fixes around the windows, of course all the caulking and replacing interior trim (they have a small selection at their showroom but you can get anything you want, just show it to them) and they prime and paint the interior trim twice (we chose wood for interior and fiberglass for exterior). Order lead time was about 6 months but think that was due to back up from covid. The crew that installed the windows were all very professional and friendly and worked well as a team. Interior painting person was very nice and detailed. Outdoor person for stucco and caulking was very detailed and focused, friendly and professional. We had a couple windows that had been leaky culprits in the past. We had a strong hail storm come through after the installation of the windows and freaked out when rain came in, CMC sent their service person out and he discovered that we were missing the closing of the house where our kitchen deck was and needed to get that sealed up (deck guy did not do it properly) – that was the culprit for water leaking into the house; he also determined a crack above the stucco needed sealing – this was outside the scope of replacing windows but greatly strengthened my trust and admiration for the team at CMC. They have a great full team to address your needs, work closely with them on what you want and they’ll get it delivered.

CMC is a great company run by great people! They sell quality products. I went to their office met with Cody. He showed me the warehouse and then walked me around the showroom. It was a cool experience being able to see it all and being able to ask him questions about the products and him having the answers unlike going to a store where the people there don’t really know the products. I bought all my windows and doors from them and they were with me every step of the way! Thank you CMC.

After battling months to get a damage approval from my grandmother’s insurance company, we were absolutely delighted to work with AnnaLisa and her team! She explained the entire process from start to finish and guided us thru with expert advice and precision- something that no one else had done. Her professionalism was second to none and was always excited to share ideas and options with us. Instead of this being equally frustrating as dealing with the insurance company- my grandmother was excited and so happy with the results. Thank you to Lisa and team! We recommend, there is no other way to go!

Nope! Annalisa, the client relationship manager is a real treat 😩 I was referred to this company by my fence contractor. I reached out yesterday to see about getting g a quote for windows damaged in a hailstorm. CMC’s first opportunity to communicate with me was her explaining to me how an insurance claim works, followed by bossing me around telling me to get my own measurements and describe the window setting, and they won’t be sending someone to my home for this. (Wow super helpful) I also didn’t observe a ‘thanks so much for choosing us’ or any hint of interest in securing me as a customer. Very off-putting first experience and I’m happy to give my thousands I need to spend on new windows to someone else. FYI – 10.5 months into a hail claim – there’s no reason to speak to a customer like this, and any business that wants to make this process easier instead of harder is needed.

Office staff was very prompt with communication, installation crew was great and painter doing finishing work was very meticulous. When we had an issue with one of the doors , service (Anlin) was very quick and efficient to fix.

We were unhappy with CMC from start to finish. They couldn’t care less about providing a top-quality, customer-oriented experience. Nearly $15,000 NOT well spent on just two slider doors. Apparently we are not the only ones unhappy with our experience with CMC, either. The crew lead told us they get angry, frustrated customers every 4-5 jobs. I guess those customers don’t write reviews, or CMC curates their reviews on Google to inflate their reputation. At any rate, we are unhappy customers who want others to avoid the same mistake we made in taking all of these 5-star reviews as an accurate reflection of CMC’s quality. In our case, CMC did not at all live up to the hype. Ben, the salesperson, started the first of many disappointing issues with CMC. First, Ben gave us flatly untrue information when we asked specific questions during the initial visit. For example, we asked, “Will there be anything done to our floors during installation of the sliders?” Ben said no. We asked because we were trying to determine when to refinish our floors (before or after door install). Since Ben said no, we went ahead and scheduled the floor refinishing before the slider install. Much to our surprise, at door installation, the crew sawed part of our floors back to accommodate the new doors. They did an extremely uneven cut, too. After spending thousands to have the floors refinished, this was a tremendous frustration that could have been avoided had Ben told us ahead of time, at which time we would have certainly scheduled the refinishing AFTER the slider install. Second, it took SEVERAL emails back and forth to get the correct invoice and contract drafted, based on the figure Ben said would be our final pricing for the full install. Every time CMC sent an invoice, it was higher than Ben’s stated pricing, which Ben made clear at his initial visit would not change one penny. And for some reason, even though we made it clear many times what the pricing should be, CMC admin kept getting it wrong. This was a huge annoyance and took about 3 weeks to resolve. Third, we specifically asked Ben if the crews were subcontracted or employed directly by CMC, and he said they were all CMC–and CMC only–employees. Wrong. Crew told us they are subcontractors, just like every other run-of-the-mill company. We chose CMC in major part because we were told they do not subcontract, and it was extremely frustrating when we found out this was (yet another) lie. Fourth, the crews took a few days longer than expected to finish the job, which put a wrench in our plans and work schedules. They even stayed until 6pm one night, which we said was unacceptable. Ben and the entire CMC team should know their business well enough to accurately estimate how long a job will take. There were no complications or unexpected snags in the job; it just naturally took about 3 days longer than estimated. Again, very frustrating. Finally, to top off the essence of “customer service” at CMC, when we brought up any of our concerns, never was an apology made or concern shown to rectify the issue. And to make matters worse, at the end of the job when we voiced our disappointment with CMC one last time, Nikki said something to the effect of “Ben isn’t with the company anymore, and we will take your feedback into account for future jobs.” Then she proceeded to ask us for payment. Again, CMC is concerned only with money, not quality work or good customer service.
