The good reviews for this business are from years ago when another family member was running it. I had a window replaced in 2014 and it worked out fine. So I called them recently and it did not go well. This time around I waited four months, wasted $250, a lot of time and didn’t get anything for my money. I had to have the work redone. The window was home made, not from a factory, and it didn’t fit right and lost its seal after two weeks (the one it replaced lasted 20 years). I didn’t try to get my money back and I hope he turns it around. I like to support small local businesses but ultimately had to use a nation-wide company to get this fixed.

The 1 star to even leave this review is too kind. DO NOT use Boyd Glass Service. You will get a run around of excuses. I have never, in my life, experienced a more unprofessional “company” like this one. They were hired by my landscaping company to replace the glass on my storm door. When they came out to install the glass, there were “complications” and had to completely remove the door to bring back to their shop. That is when the communication went radio silent. They would not answer calls. Even calls from the police went ignored. I was told multiple different timeframes of when my door would finally be returned, one being 9PM. I eventually told Jason Boyd to keep the door. I explicitly told him to stay AWAY from my home, to which he ignored. Not only did he come onto my private property after being told not to, the state he returned my door in was shocking. He was hired to replace the glass, and instead he damaged my home and the frame of the door entirely. Not to mention, the glass itself that he had to “order” is all scratched up. This is a sorry excuse for a “business”. I am looking forward to whatever excuse Jason Boyd will write in response to my review. That is what he seems best at doing, making excuses, other reviews confirm this.

‼️AVOID AVOID AVOID‼️ Do not use Jason Boyd with Boyd glass. We paid them over $2000 for work done to our residential glass. Contacted him when it wasn’t what we expected and kept getting promises that he would “come out and make it right”. Well now it’s 18 month later and I feel others should be warned. We paid to have several panes replaced in several different windows as well as a full length glass door. One window was left with blue duct tape on it that now has residue from the tape. In one window the grids were cut too short. Instead of recutting, the spaces were filled in with BLACK caulk. The windows are white. All of the windows that were worked on are now sprung and won’t close all the way. Which has resulted in increased power bills. The door was not replaced properly. Extra mounding was added probably to hide imperfections. Several weeks later it started falling off. You can see more of the blue duct tape and black caulk when you look down between the panes. Nothing was sealed propery and there is now rust in between the panes of the windows. On the inside of the door, the molding wasn’t cut properly and was just filled in hap hazardly with caulk. Before the job was “finished” I was also asked if he would mind if he took off the windows so he could work on them in his shop so it would be easier. He offered to board up the windows during this time…that was a hard pass for me as we run a business and couldn’t afford the aesthetics of such a proposition. Please be careful who you hire.

We have been maintaining several rental properties and have a good exposure to work with handymans and technicians. We have needed to replace some broken windows glasses and it is one of our worst experiences. Poor quality of work (half done and left as it is), No professionalism at all – never kept his words and not responsive – give ecxuses all the time. After waiting for 15 days and paying $440, I got one of the sloppiest (make shift – low quality) work and he remained highly unresponsive. He is definitely a slacker. NEVER EVER work with him if you want a good workmanship, professionalism and responsiveness in your work.

These guys are amazing I called several companies throughout Aiken and Augusta to try and get my window fixed no one could do it. Everyone said they would have to order it and it would take up to a week to arrive however Jason was able to get the window and install it perfectly the same day and to top things off he came to my location and did the job. I will definitely recommend this company they were very precessional and polite and did an amazing job

Absolutely awful. From the start there were excuses as to why the windshield replacement couldn’t happen that day. He wasn’t in the office, the glass had to come from out of town, alone in the office having to do all the work, and then the owner stopped picking up the phone. Over two weeks wasted and never did get a call back after “I can replace that in a few days.” I can understand is something happens, but at least tell the customer that you can’t do it. Absolutely horrible service.
