We have used Todd and his team multiple times over years. Recently our truck was stolen with our garage opener programmed in it..Todd quickly sent his guy over and reprogrammed the opener and gave me a new remote. When i asked what i owed, he told me nothing. Unbelievable.. Thanks so much Bill Jouette and Tricia Shimer

I called FCD to have an existing garage door repaired. After coming to my home, FCD said repairing the door would only be a temporary solution and they recommended I get an entirely new door. They gave me a quote for $2750 for just the door and surrounding trim. A couple months later I called them back and ordered that door from them based on their original specs and they said I had to pay in full up front so I did. They said the door would take 3-5 weeks because it was a “custom order”. They cashed my check and I never heard back so I called them 5 weeks later and they claimed to have no record of my payment even though I verified with my bank that they deposited it. I had to provide them a scan of the check with their watermark on it in order for them to concede that I already paid them. They eventually agreed that they got my money but didn’t order the door. They tried to change the type of door on me twice over the call with a different door that they already had in stock and then eventually said they could install the original door I ordered in 10 days. This should have been a sign but I agreed anyway… The day came and when they got to my home to install the door they brought they tried to upcharge me because my garage is a “metal building” and because my tracks weren’t what they were expecting even though their rep was the one who previously priced everything out and looked over my garage inside and out. The office called me when the technicians were on my property and they said that they had to charge me an additional $175 for a different type of tracks because the door they brought wouldn’t work with my current tracks. I reluctantly agreed because I had been waiting 2 months already for a new door. They called me back a second time and said it actually wouldn’t be $175 but would instead be $300 extra because they had to add cedar trim to make the door they brought fit. At this point I was frustrated by the lack of planning and lack of transparency so I declined to move forward and asked for a refund. I would have been totally fine if everything was communicated up front but everything about the way they do business was sketchy from the beginning. Part of me is convinced they just brought a wrong size door and tried to make it work but I’m not an expert. I’m not sure if the original rep who quoted the door I needed messed up or if the office down the line did but their was zero transparency about anything. They had to keep “calling me back” to see if they could make something work. In short, beware of non transparent pricing and last minute up charges with this company. I really wanted to make this work but will unfortunately be doing business with someone else.

Just had my garage door serviced by Neftalu Pabon. Such a nice gentleman, explained in detail what needed to be addressed and recommendations. He was so kind and offered any additional assistance if needed, which was tremendous since I’m in a wheelchair. Would not hesitate to contact Family Christian Doors to come back to Allen and recommend to friends and neighbors.
