Had a broken spring. I had excellent service! Office set us up for next day. Service guys explained the options we had for packages. Showed me what was failing other than the broken spring. Had the parts on the truck and were done within about an hour. Can’t ask for more. We will definitely call when the actual GDO unit fails us.

In short…pricing is ridiculous and not transparent. Would not give a price over the phone, but if they come out and you decide not to go with their service, it’s $79. They charged easily 2x of what should be the high end for a simple spring replacement. Will not be a repeat customer. Will give props for the service. Had a broken spring, called on a Tuesday afternoon and they were out by 8:30 Wednesday morning. Tech was professional and pleasant. But holy cow are they expensive. $189/hour for labor, which seems high but spring replacement is a dangerous DIY job and doesn’t take long so I’m happy to pay that. Their parts though, are crazy expensive. Springs were $249 each. Even for quality springs that’s a heck of a markup. Told they couldn’t quote them over the phone as it depends on the door…which is fair, but I didn’t expect this much of a markup. They use their own line of products, which makes it impossible to do an exact price match with other vendors too. Pricing also seems…wishy washy. Tech originally quoted me over $900 and when I was ready to walk away, was able to get it down to the $700 range. They charge a $79 service call fee if you walk away, so take that into account. Ultimately I decided to pay it, as it wasn’t worth me taking off more time from work to call another company out, plus the $79. But based on price alone, I wouldn’t use Precision again. They also try to upsell you quite a bit. Most garage door companies are known for doing this, but I still don’t like it. I expect they are going to tell you your rollers are worn and need replacement. Chances are they don’t. The tech told me that my door and opener looked old. I shut that down right away and made it clear I had no interest in either. No complaints about the service. But if you need something simple like spring replacement, I would not recommend them. Happy with the tech, happy that it was fixed so quickly, but the price is absurd and I will not be a returning customer.

Steve is great. Arrived on time, did a quick assessment, offered two different solutions and detailed specs and costs for each solution. Finished the work quickly and completely and pointed out things of note and things to watch for. Outstanding work. Highly recommend!

Following a miserable experience with a refrigerator purchase it was very refreshing to experience a very professional and satisfying experience. From the very first time precision came for a quote until the day our two garage doors were installed every detail was positive. They were very courteous. friendly and professional. They were prompt and did exactly what they said they’d do. Very professional and refreshing to work with this company. We were very pleased.
