BEWARE! These people came out and told us that in order to replace two cables it would be $800. When we refused that cost they said they could bring it down to $500. We got a second opinion and were told that the cables cost about $20 each. We used Midwest Garage Door and they charged $145 total. Use them not neighborhood garage rip off service.

I chose this company to service a Garage Door for a rental property. I had a Val Pak coupon I wanted to use for $50 off to save my landlord some fees. He was at the property for less than 15 minutes to “reset” the garage door and program 2 remotes and a wall remote that I provided. The charge was $272.00. He also would not take the $50 coupon off because he said he “saved” me $171 by programming the remotes (which again the entire service call was 15 minutes with no parts provided by the company). This seems like an excessive amount for such a short visit. I wished I had used Midwest Garage Doors who charged only $109 for a garage door adjustment and 2 programmed remotes. Don’t be fooled by their Val Pak Coupon!

Betsy did great work and was efficient. My issue is that the original quote was very high (over $800 to replace a broken spring and replace the second at the same time). I declined the service so she called the office to see if there were coupons to apply. Still not bringing it under $700, so refused service again. THEN, they “found an upcoming promo” to apply and bring the cost to $500. It’s a shame that good techs have to practice these pricing games.

I had a great experience with them, the technician was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Did not take long.
