I am delighted to share my positive experience with Doug, the garage door repair professional. Doug provided exceptional service when he came out on a Saturday evening to address an issue with my garage door. He swiftly made a temporary repair to ensure the door operated safely until he could obtain the necessary parts. True to his commitment, Doug promptly returned after receiving the parts and completed the repair without any upselling tactics. What stood out to me was Doug’s meticulous approach to the repair, treating it as if he were working on his own garage door. His dedication to ensuring the job was done right was evident throughout the process. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Doug for his excellent work. Kudos to him for a job well done, and thank you for the prompt and reliable service!

The entire process from start to finish was a bit unorganized. Thus only receiving 3 stars. I’m happy with the finished product but to get here I had to scratch my head a few times. On the 1st visit Doug drove up my driveway and drove over roofing material that was clearly laid out for the garage I was completing. This bent the material and I could no longer use it. He did give me a credit for that. Same visit, while backing out of driveway he hit my retaining wall and knocked my cap off. After 3 weeks, on the scheduled day of install, he calls to tell me the door he picked up has a dent in it and a new door would take a week or two. Alternatively, I could upgrade for half price. Luckily this was in stock, so I upgraded, not a big deal. The inside of the door came with stains which Doug did come back to clean, and it is 75% removed. Buying a new product though, I expect to look and be brand new. Once the project was completed, apparently the credit card machine is out and it’s cash only. I had already paid half with credit card.

Stay away from this guy!!! He installed a screen door that is way too short. Huge gaps on top and bottom (not the point of a screen door, is it?). On top of that, the screen ripped after a month and Doug is unresponsive. Tried to reach him numerous times but he’s ghosting is. Huge huge rip off!!!

I initially went with Great American Screen and door because of **** who was the rep that came and sold me door on 31 Mar 2022. Install was supposed to be on 5 May. The install got rescheduled to 12 May. Upon install I noticed the installed door did not have windows of which I ordered. The trim around the door was also installed incorrectly and also cut the rubber while removing the plastic from the door. ******* (the owner) apologized and said he would be back I’m 2 weeks to fix it. I then got scheduled for 8 June which was more than 3 weeks out. I called on 8 Jun about an hour before arrival for **** to tell me he wasn’t going to arrive and would be here the next day. I had to call again to find out he wasn’t coming until 10 June. When he finally arrived he installed the windows without the inserts that was ordered and did not bring the replacement trim. He said that it wasn’t listed on my ticket, but he will see what the problem is and run to ********** to at least replace the trim because I had painters from over 2 hours away waiting on him to finish the trim so they can paint it. He did not return to replace the trim and said he will get back in a couple weeks. I’ve already paid for the Job when the door was installed a month prior. I sent him a copy of my invoice that he (*******) wrote and emailed to me. It clearly stated my windows were supposed to have an insert and trim needed to be replaced. Now he will not return calls, texts, or emails. This is an extremely unprofessional way to deal with customers and to handle business. I would not recommend this company if this is the way they treat a paid customer. I understand things happen, but failure to communicate with customers and blaming mistakes on other people is not a way to handle a business especially as the owner.
