Home Exteriors Energy Consultants are fantastic!! They have outstanding experienced workers who consistently provide top quality workmanship! They did a great job a year ago and the door has a double lifetime warranty (so it also covers the next homeowner). Our door had a small defect a year after installation and Home Exteriors quickly completed a new door replacement. No hassle, negotiating, or any convincing. Just saw our photos and scheduled a new door installation. Their employee Luis is amazing! He showed us the new door first, to avoid installing one that was not satisfactory. Then promptly replaced the old one and professionally cleaned up afterwards. Home Exteriors Energy Consultants should be your “go to” choice for Home improvements!

We had 2 double doors one with a transom replaced with the Pro Via doors sold through Home Exteriors in NOVA. The doors were ordered 10/12/2022. I was told on that day by Mr.Horner that they would be installed by mid-November. The actual install date was February 15, 2023!! A full 3 months later than expected. This delay was I’m sure due to the manufacturer Pro-Via having problems at their company. None of this was ever communicated to me. Each time I called I was promised a new date just a few weeks away. If I had known on the day of purchase that this would be the case I might have gone elsewhere. However, if I had been told that the manufacturer was experiencing delays due for various reasons (supply chain issues, difficulty hiring and training enough employees etc..) and it would be 2 to 3 months before delivery and installation I would have still been open to purchasing the doors here. It is most irritating and dishonest to promise a date one month away then have no communication from the vendor unless I called them only to be placated with more imaginary install dates. The doors are nice and the install team was excellent.

This company did a great job of installing our new front door but the weather stripping on the bottom tore off after a few months and I asked them to replace it. A month later it tore off again and the guy that came to replace it (without bringing a replacement weather strip) said the threshold was installed too tightly and rubbed against the bottom of the door. I asked them to fix it and they said they would. Here it is four months later and nothing. They very easily forget about you. Would not recommend them because of service.

I had a new Provia front entry door, storm door and windows installed five years ago. Mark and his team were outstanding. They were very professional, courteous and efficient. I’m so pleased with my doors and windows and the service they’ve provided. They are still responsive even years after the installation. I would highly recommend them.

We had Home Exteriors Energy Consultants replace almost all our windows included 2 doors. I can tell you the installation team did an amazing job and they did it at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

I just had a new front door with transom replaced by Home Exteriors Energy Consultants. They did a great job. Mark, the owner gave me a great design that worked with the exterior and interior of my house. He has a great eye for coming up with a unique design. My door is quality as well as the glass and hardware. The transom was custom and turned out beautifully. Their work was fantastic. Great professional crew! They had to replace the whole entryway and it came out better than I expected. Would use these guys again!

I had Home Exteriors replace my siding, trim and windows. They did an amazing job. I have had quite a bit of work done to my house in the past five years and the crew from Home Exteriors was by far the best. They were diligent, hard workers that took a lot of pride in their work and were very meticulous. Outstanding customer service from the owner to the office staff. I would highly recommend this company (and have).

I am so upset with this company and their work! If I could give zero stars, I would! Many corrections had to be made to our home after HEEC installed new siding, windows, shutters, etc in 2012. Tons of gaps, insufficient caulking, wrong shutter style, did not replace exhaust vents, waviness in siding, etc. Also, upon inspection of the attic where we could witness the job, we noticed contractors missed many studs and in the process punctured the sheathing which they destroyed by slicing, ripping and tearing when removing old siding. Because of this, it voids the warranty of the siding since they did not install per manufacturer’s specification. We were never asked if we wanted new sheathing that they damaged and were unaware of the damage at the time since they installed during the day when we were at work. Also, they did not even repair the sheathing they ruined, whatsoever!!! The sheathing is the most important exterior structural component of the home! All they did was install a new home wrap to cover up their mess. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for residential improvement at all. Mark Horner needs to be more on top of the folks who contract his client’s work. Will probably need new siding in a few short years because of the shoddy workmanship and skipped steps. Look to other Home remodeling companies.
