Earlier this year I had my basement flood and my insurance company sent PuroClean to my home. Initially they were great, since then they have shown their true colors. I would never have trusted such a predatory company. PuroClean will bill your insurance, but if insurance takes to long to process they will come after what remains of your home. At no point was the actual cost disclosed prior to, during, or after the time of service. I was just told that my insurance would be billed. The first time I saw the numbers was on the documents sent by there lawyer. Which, by the way is the first papers you will see after the first contact. TL:DR – PuroClean will prey on vulnerable people by hiding costs and will go after your home if insurance takes to long to pay.

I dealt with Bob which was always positive, If I would change anything it would be a list of the boxes so I could open them in the order I want,instead of guessing of which one I needed next.

PuroClean did such an outstanding job when our sump pump failed and we had so much water damage in our finished basement area. Our first contact with Bob Lepel sealed the deal with us to use this company. From start to finish, he stayed in contact with us and made sure we were always up to date on the process of restoring that area. His employees were friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. We would recommend Bob and PuroClean to anyone needing restoration work done.

Long read but worth it (please make sure to see update at the end of the post): I am not sure I have words to express my extreme agitation with this company. I work in insurance at an agency. I had called the Oshkosh office (whom I have worked with many times in the past and found to be wonderful) to come handle my claim but they did not have the personal, so they dispatched the Green Bay office that is under new ownership of Bob and possibly others. The first contact went well when they packed out my belongings after a small fire. It quickly went downhill from there. After a month in a hotel my belongings were returned. Within hours of my furniture being returned to my apartment a horrific odor presented itself. I called and emailed with them several times regarding my concern. After several weeks they sent Rachel out who agree that there is an odor present. She insists that it is not coming from the furniture. I have asked them to remove the furniture from my home and they have failed to comply. They keep insisting that the furniture is clean. Clearly common sense is not a strength of anyone in this company. I had been back in the unit for 2 days prior the furniture returning and no smell. Furniture comes back and now a ongoing smell. It has been over a month of living with this smell and at this point I have zero faith in this company at all. Communication has been spotty at best. They expressed to my agent that they are afraid that they will not get paid for their services if they admit that they could not get the furniture clean. They would get paid their job was to attempt and hopefully get it clean. They failed and now they are continuing to fail by not addressing the issue in a commonsense manner. The company in charge of my soft washable items Smoke out that they subcontract with had to wash my clothing, blankets and other items over 5 times in order to remove the smell. Those items still have not yet been returned so the odor is not coming from them. Ive added a few photos to show how I am trying to deal with the continuing odors. It has been almost two months of living with the smell and still no resolution or response from company on what the game plan is. updated 08/21/2023: It took me a good long while to updated due to the prior horrific experience. But to be fair once Brandon Peronto who is Account Manager showed up in my work office just doing his rounds and I had him come in my office and close the door that is when things turned around abruptly for the better. Brandon is a reasonable human who listened to my concerns and was able to help me get resolution within the week. I was able to replace my furniture and that and a good carpet shampooing once the smelling items were removed was able to resolve the stench in my apartment. I will update my rating to a 3-star review based purely on my interactions with Brandon. I have noticed however that there are random small things missing from my items along the lines of 2 items from my knife block ect. I do feel like that may have been done by staff that were sick of dealing with my insistence that they handle my claim correctly. Not enough to bother me but does make me laugh at the perceived pettiness.

Jason Bero assisted us in our clean up project and provided A-1 service. I was extremely satisfied and pleased with the results. I would highly recommend PuroClean!! Thank you!!

Had a blocked drain resulting in water in the basement. We were able to get most of the water up. When they finally got here to check, we were told that there were a couple of spots on the wall that needed fans and dehumidifiers, so that’s what we did. I asked if any of the vinyl planks had been removed to see if there was water underneath. The answer was that the moisture meter showed that it was dry so there was no need to pull up to check. I was nervous about that and asked to have someone come out and check. Someone came this morning and there is water under the floor. I’m not sure what the industry standards are for water removal, but they definitely don’t follow them.

We had water damage at our summer home from a broke refrigerator line. PuroClean came out within two hours after our initial call. The crew was very professional, knowledgeable, and walked us through the whole process. They also assisted us with the insurance claim. We highly recommend PuroClean!

People preliminarily friendly, helpful. Crew did not clean up after removing our siding, there were siding nails all over the ground that I had to clean up ( see pics). Manager Bob was unresponsive to a month of inquiries on uncompleted & questionable tasks as well as returning of our damaged possessions from cleaning. More than 2 months after our fire I finally gave up on getting an answer to questions, contacted office about our possessions, they were responsive.
