I recently suffered a house fire. Within an hour and a half of the firemen putting the fire out and leaving the property, I had called Servpro Portland, at 3 AM in the morning. They came to the property within an hour and were able to suction all of the water off the floors before the sun rose, Had removed expensive rugs and taken them to Atiyeh brothers for cleaning and storage, and continued to work throughout that next morning and afternoon with cleanup, drying, removing furniture. They were excellent!! Very attentive, very easy to interact with, complying with my requests of priorities, Working hard,. I can’t say enough fabulous words about their skill and dedication to helping me. April started in the middle of the night then Jermaine took over in the daylight and continued to be my project manager throughout the long ordeal. Jermaine was super attentive and immediately took care of any request I had. They returned week after week to check on moisture and perform additional drywall removal, insulation removal, floor removal ,until all areas were maximally improved. I would never use Any other company. Servpro is the best.

DO NOT USE Servpro. DO NOT believe the positive reviews. RUN AWAY while you can. They turned an already bad experience with a burst water pipe into a horrible experience. I would have been better off doing the work myself and not going to insurance. Servpro has committed fraud and tried to have me commit insurance fraud. The slogan for Servpro should be “Servpro, you’ll wish you never called us.” The process has been nothing short of a living hell. They tried to give me a bill for $16,000 which was almost 4 times the original estimate. They damaged things such as light fixtures, door casing and electrical fixtures. They didn’t say sorry and have refused to pay for the damage. They left my freezer unplugged for 5+ days and paid for the food in it, but billed me for inventorying the food, throwing the food out, and validating prices for the food. They also said they spent 24 hours moving content in the garage, when it took me less than 3 hours to move everything out of the garage. Servpro said they removed more baseboard that there is linear feet in the garage, they said they removed the entire garage ceiling when ⅓ of it was left, they took credit for another company’s work, the worst part is they used a hammer to remove electrical boxes and broke the drywall around light fixtures. They left the light fixtures hanging by the wiring where they could have fallen on someone. They said they applied sprays to address mold, but the amounts don’t match the square footage of walls and there is mold that is still on the garage floor. I gave them a page and a half of things they didn’t do and never heard back from them on it. Anything to try and run the bill up, they did. My sister also had a similar issue with Servpro in another state. It is like they operate off of fraudulent billing. I have had 4 different people work on this bill in a 2 month period. Each person at Servpro stopped responding to emails and would not answer my calls. The latest one, Daniel, hid behind the office manager’s email. He has refused to give me an itemized bill which breaks out the cost for each line item which is required by my insurance. Servpro is overcharging and charging for things that were not done. Servpro has refused to talk about any of this stuff and left me no choice to go to the contractors board and take legal action. Do yourself and your insurance company a favor, call a local company other than Servpro.

After six months of repairs, my house is finally habitable again. Servpro moved my belongings from their storage room back to my house. I was initially worried about the new carpet getting dirty. However, after seeing how their team worked, I knew I didn’t have to worry at all. They are incredibly professional. Starting from the front door, they covered all the walkable areas with thick pad. All the team members who moved things in the house wore shoe covers. They were very careful with my belongings, ensuring nothing was damaged. Additionally, they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I am very satisfied with their work and would like to extend my gratitude to every member of their team. They are: April, David R, David Y, Debi, Eral, Jendry, Jermaine, Keith, Liam and Tammie.

Great experience so far…Deb and Tammie are great, thorough and knowledgeable, and professionally compassionate. I’m feeling very relieved now. As a side note, I’m very pleased to see women working in a traditionally male dominated industry. Props to them and to Servpro.

Deshawn, Chris, DJ, Kevin, Erol, Juan and Jesse Team came out to take care of my home due to frozen pipes in the attic space. Deshawn was very knowledgeable , professional, transparent, legit and maintained communication throughout the process. He made sure we understood the game plan and what to expect to complete the job. **EDIT** Below this is my original review. We had a pipe break in June 2023 and the initial team was great. They showed up quickly, gave us their reassurances, and were easy to work with. However, from that point on we were in the middle of a he said, she said battle between them and our insurance to get payment. We were not told that there was any issue with the insurance payment after their many assurances that it wouldn’t be an issue until months later suddenly we’re getting a past due notice with interest and threatening legal repercussions. Even at that point it was impossible getting a hold of someone in the office in a timely manner and honestly felt like they just didn’t give a sh*t. Insurance ended up not paying the full amount because Servpro’s prices were significant inflated for the area. Maybe it was just a singular bad experience but given the opportunity (although I hope to never have another broken pipe) I would hands down never use Servpro again or recommend them to anyone I know. If you do use them, do your due diligence, follow up with them constantly post mitigation and know that they might not work with your insurance so you’ll be out of pocket thousands of dollars anyway. After a pipe broke and we had water damage across multiple rooms and floors, we immediately called Servpro and they came in less than two hours in addition to referring us to a great after hours plumber. DeShawn was an absolute lifesaver and helped not only with handling the clean up but also what to expect with the whole restoration process. I can’t imagine going through this without him! The whole team was professional, and additional thanks to Brendon, Jermaine, Andre, Philip, Debbie and Juan. They helped get our house back in livable shape!
