A recent small leak in a bathroom pipe has turned into a major restoration project. We were referred to PNW Restoration and I am so glad we were. Jakeb Shelton the project manager contacted us immediately and answered all our questions (we are novices) about what to expect from our insurance company and the project. He is handling contact with the insurance adjuster, saving us a multitude of headaches. Every one of the PNW employees who have worked on the demolition phase of our project (Kylie, Nick, Wade, Brett and all the others whose names I can’t recall) have been polite, accommodating and unbelievably hard workers. Every question we have asked, no matter how minor, has been answered immediately and satisfactorily. The project continues into the rebuild phase and I am confident the employees we will work with in the future will be just as great. I cannot recommend PNW Restoration more highly. Awesome, awesome customer service, too!

Jake was the project manager and helped take care of a sewer line issue I was having. Brett, Kylie, and Noe came and did a tremendous job making sure all of my furniture and hardwood flooring was covered and took care of doing new vapor barrier and insulation and water cleanup under my house with little room to work in. They were flexible on timing and made sure cleanup was done well!

PNW Restoration came to my rescue after a water damage event required the removal and demolition of my entire kitchen down to the subfloor. Jake was my remediation project manager and his team, especially Wade, Brett, and Matthew were amazing! Everyone has been extremely responsive, helpful, tidy, fun, and supportive during a very stressful time, all while helping me with my insurance company. They are a great company and willing to go above and beyond. They’ve provided all the guidance and care that you could ask for and I look forward to working with them to get the kitchen back up and running.

We really appreciate the work that PNW team did when we had major water damage from our attic, 2 floors and the crawl space. They were all extremely professional, always gave me a call to make sure that someone would be home when they came, and they respected the house and space when they were in it. They also outsourced some stuff and made sure those teams also represented them well. In all, PNW team were genuinely wonderful people and made one of the hardest periods of our life, manageable.

Basement flooded in late Oct 2023. PNW was onsite within 4 hours. Major remediation over the next week. Their contractor gave a fair value estimate which we matched against two other bids. PNW gave 36 month guarantee, started within 4 days, completed within 4 weeks and no pushback at all with changes and additions we requested. The other bids cost less but did not offer any of the above. Jake Foglio was the PNW contractor and he did an outstanding job! Went well above and beyond and was extremely responsive and honest in all aspects. I don’t normally write reviews but I give PNW my HIGHEST reccomendation!

I really can’t UN-recommend PNW Restoration enough. Eric and Scott seem nice enough on first contact, and were available to work within a reasonable timeline and for what appeared to be reasonable rates – but that’s about all the good things I can say. PNW appears to actually be an umbrella organization – these guys just subcontract the actual work to the lowest bidder. Our experience suggests that there is little-skill vetting, management, or accountability for the subcontractors. We went through several teams – generally friendly enough but none of whom impressed as far as quality of work. I don’t know how many times Scott told me, “Well, it’s not actually my guys doing the work. [Insert name] who leads the team is actually the one who is responsible for causing [insert problem here].” Reassuring? Not very. Here are some highlights of our experience with PNW: • Individuals on two separate crews, two separate weeks, broke off two separate kitchen sink water supply valves under our cabinet. Each time flooded our kitchen and basement while everyone ran around wondering where the water shutoff might be. The second time ruined the brand-new insulation they had just replaced from the first flood. • They didn’t even notify us when the first flood happened – my wife saw guys carrying big bags of insulation from the basement, so she investigated and found the drying and dehumidification equipment set up – then we figured it out. The second time we found out a lot quicker when my wife heard the worker yelling for help. Good times. • They made a major mess – between the flooding (x2) and pulling out the wet insulation (x2) – but other than setting up equipment to dry things out, they took almost no responsibility for the actual clean-up – and still haven’t proven willing to pay for the modest cleanup effort or related damages. • Their actual work was sub-par. They had planned to move out the kitchen cabinet and later put it back, but the put-back cabinet was shoddy – functionally and aesthetically far from the original condition. Then after a couple floods, it was a total loss. By the end I had to work out a system where I’d go over before they started each morning and inspect the work they’d done thee day before, and put together a list of quality issues to text to Scott. Generally the list got longer day to day – not a good sign. Then they caused the second flood and we gave up on them. If you care about your home and you want a quality job done, I would not work with this company. PNW’s business model seems flawed, and they just don’t seem able to do quality work. If you do work with them, have your home insurance on speed-dial, because there is a good chance you’ll need it. At least I can share some of my angst with you, and I’ll feel better having saved even one reader from a similar experience with PNW Restoration. Good luck finding a reputable restoration shop (you are looking in the wrong place!).
