I asked for a quote from this company for a sewer back up. This company assured me that they worked with MSD frequently, would complete the work for whatever MSD paid and put in writing that there would be no out of pocket cost for me. Several weeks later, they notified me that they had just discovered that MSD had a cap on reimbursement and this company would therefore not complete the contracted work, proposing instead a limited amount of work within the MSD reimbursement, or they suggested I pursue an insurance claim or pay the rest out of pocket. I then spoke directly with MSD who informed me that the cap had been in place for THREE YEARS, not recently, as this company alleged. If this company worked frequently with MSD, it seems implausible that they did not know of the three year old cap on reimbursement. If this company knew of the cap, I wonder if their initial intention was to pursue the additional funds from me directly or through my insurance carrier. In either case, this company did not honor their contract by completing the entirety of the work with no additional funds from me.

Atlas was the company that State Farm’s Agent arranged to have meet me after the fire at our home. It was a very emotionally draining time and Atlas said they worked with insurance companies to restore peoples belongings, clean up and take care of the details we werent able to . Well, they did that and got a payment directly from State Farm for $32,000 for a bogus invoice. billed us for returning the property to the house that burned when we had moved out of state, refusing to send us a copy of the bill submitted to State Farm, charging us for medium size boxes when they used small and they are paid by the box size used, they are also paid extra when fragile is claimed for the contents and that was the claim on metal, plastic just about anything to milk the insurance company but in fact took money from us to the tune of $7,000. We were charged for contents of a room that didnt exist and one room that had only a couple of items on their inventory list suddenly had dozens of boxed items on the invoice. Every room was billed with embelishments. Buyer beware, they want to be paid directly from the insurance company because they can get away with this kind of thing through their connections with the insurance adjusters, whereas the customer would notice these issues when reviewing a bill something we were not given the opportunity to do until after we had picked up our belongings and returned home with them. The owner has a used car salesman appraoch to issues and isnt an honest person.

Atlas was one of the repair options supplied by our insurance company after a water leak from a frozen pipe caused quite a bit of damage to our home. Simply put, Atlas was outstanding to deal with! They were extremely professional with excellent communication throughout the entire process. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone.
