I thought I had an issue. Called Mike and made an appointment. Mike arrived at my home, inspected the area and said don’t worry about it. He even did a environmental air quality assessment. I appreciated his honesty, and knowledge. If you have an issue, call Mike. You won’t regret it!

Had a recent job change and took a week between positions to celebrate my mom’s birthday and when I got back we had an all too familiar musty smell… my new position is remote and my family is sensitive to mold. So, I asked Michael Ovens for his advice and without hesitation he came out – tested the air – gave me peace of mind that it was just the out of town jitters – and gave me some tips to keep me from having to call him later on down the line. #Kudos to you sir – The pride you take in your work is truly inspiring! Mike and his crew were fabulous. We had a serious mold outbreak in our home. Mike came out, explained what could be done to fix the problem, was patient with our endless questions and concerns, then cleaned our place from end to end. Our place now smells great! Thanks again Mike!

Mike is as skilled, honest and timely as it gets. We became concerned about mold when we identified some discoloration on our carport ceiling. Mike had us scheduled for an evaluation immediately. On the day of our appointment, he was punctual despite inclement weather. His evaluation was extremely thorough and he explained his findings as he proceeded through our home. In the end, our issue was limited to the discoloration noted on the carport ceiling. Mike’s remediation recommendations were straight forward – no upselling on services or diagnostics! He was clear about what was necessary and what was overkill. We are so grateful for his expertise and honesty. In contrast, Servepro quoted $399.99 for an evaluation without particle testing. Based off my verbal description, I was told that additional diagnostics were necessary in order to provide a remediation estimate. Had we used Servepro, the initial evaluation would have easily been over $500… just to be told that the discoloration was an isolated issue requiring simple sheetrock patching. 🙄 I highly recommend skipping over the big-name mold remediation companies and going straight to Mike! You won’t regret it.

Mike Ovens was great. I had a concern the on20 apartment my UF student lives in has mold. Mike went to the apartment to conduct an assesment and confimed there is mold in AC and throughout the unit. Now armed with this information I can go deal with the Property Management company at On20. Mike did not ask for payment. Grateful for honest , caring businessman like Mike.

My son goes to school in Gainesville and lives in an apartment. He was continuously getting sick and we suspected mold but were not receiving any assistance from the apartment managers, so we had to hire someone ourselves. Not being from the area, I had to blindly pick a local business and hope that they would be honest as I would not be able to be there during the inspection. Not only was Mike able to help, but he went above and beyond, making numerous trips and answering all my many texts and phone calls. His knowledge and professionalism is top notch and his findings helped us with the leverage we needed to fight for our son and his living conditions. Mike is not only a business owner, but a family man and a Dad and because of that he cares for his customers on a personal level. We just want to express the fact that Mike is a true blessing! He is honest, very reliable, and addressed ALL of our concerns, thoroughly. We have only lived in FL 3 years. We know that mold is a big problem in FL, so when our tenant abandoned, our very well taken care of townhouse, with the threat it had mold, I found Mike, and he came in less than 24 hours to inspect. Up until Mike confirmed- no mold – we were in a panic. He wrote us up a report of his findings for proof of “no mold.” We definitely are at peace now. He would not accept any payment. It’s amazing to see someone so honest, professional, with integrity, in this world today! We will spread the word of our very good experience with Mike, and NFMR. We have many acquaintances, who are elderly, and may need a trusting person like Mike. THANKS AGAIN!!!
