Sal V and Phill K came out to seal up a broken sliding door. They were quick, fast, thorough, and clean. They took the time to make sure there wasn’t any left over or exposed glass from the broken door and the seal was good.

We had a some damaged exterior trim on a north facing large window due to hail and rain to our home. In addition, we had some ground squirrel damage to our back yard shed. Doug, the project leader, constantly communicated via text and cell calls on questions and project status. While Rare Restoration is expensive compared to other companies, the quality of the completed work and attention to detail is well worth the cost. The crew of Jesus and Charles were highly skilled, very polite and very focused on customer satisfaction. They asked for feedback on the work and when complete, cleaned up the work areas. I would definitely use Rare Restoration again!

Very disappointed with our experience with Rare. We had a sink/sewer leak which left us without a usable kitchen. This happened in the Fall of 2023, and it is now Summer 2024 and we do not have a finished kitchen/basement. We even left our home for the winter to move into a rental for work to be done and came back to only drywall being completed. When we came back to the unfinished kitchen, we began to discuss additional work with an employee that could be done to make the most of the time it was under construction, which she encouraged us to do. Our account was then switched to the company owner, Doug, and within two days we parted ways. He was extremely disrespectful toward us in our own home about what WE wanted to do with the home we own. This was very confusing (as we had worked on the plans with his employee for months and been encouraged to move forward) and we felt very disrespected by the way he spoke to us and made us feel. Working with Rare was an extremely long and arduous process, and we are very frustrated that we were gone for so long and came back to no work being done. We did enjoy our experience with some of the employees, but it felt like they took advantage of us in a moment of need and didn’t deliver on what they promised. On top of having an unfinished kitchen, we had to deal with a frustrating owner who we did not feel comfortable around or working on our home. We are now having a much better experience finding our own subcontractors to complete the unfinished work.

I would never recommend rare to anyone. 5 months on the job and they could barely accomplish doing a small amount of dry walling and picked out the lowest grade Home Depot cabinets, and couldn’t even figure out how to make them fit. A sub par restoration company that will try to sell you their awful “remodeling” after. Doug the owner couldn’t be a worse owner that only cares about the money. They will break things and refuse to pay and can’t even complete a paint job on cabinets without messing it up, now I have to deal with a BBB report on top of it all. Worthless.

I wouldn’t give them any stars if I could. Strap in guys… 2022: we were in a rent-to-own program and the swamp cooler had to be replaced. The rent-to-own company contracted Rare Restoration to do the installation. It took a lot longer to complete the job than we were initially told which was annoying in the middle of summer, but fine. 2023: we now own the house and we were having some routine maintenance done on the swamp cooler and are told that Rare Restoration never actually secured the swamp cooler to the house. “It’s one strong gust of wind away from ending up in your neighbor’s backyard.” We called the rent-to-own program because the warranty for the swamp cooler was still in their name. They had to contract with another company to get the work done because Rare Restoration told them they were no longer working on swamp coolers. Again, annoying, but didn’t think it was worth posting a review. May 2024: we noticed a leak in the ceiling of our kitchen so we called a licensed roofer to come take a look (this happened just yesterday June 16). He told us that Rare Restoration allowed too much weight to sit on one section of the roof during installation which compromised the underlying structures of the roof. They also did not seal the holes they put in the roof to run whatever lines they had to run. We’ve had water leaking into the interior structures of our house since 2022, but did not notice until the issues got worse and allowed water to completely saturate the insulation in the attic which caused the water to run down the walls in the kitchen. There is now extensive water damage to the attic, the ceiling, the walls, and the staircase that is attached to the walls. The roof, that was just installed less than 10 years ago, will have to be replaced. The staircase will have to be replaced. At the very least, remediation will be needed for the attic and walls. Tens of thousands of dollars of repairs needed for a house that we’ve owned for only a year. All because Rare Restoration couldn’t be bothered to properly do the job they were paid to do.

Rare Restoration folks are fantastic. I was so glad when I connected with them to take care of my “water burst” issue in condo. They are very professional, detail oriented and I will use them again without hesitation. So grateful to have them involved. There were many involved but Charles and Zues were just a delight to work with. Lot of details and I found them to be, so courteous, easy to discuss matters with, gave great suggestions and so pleased with having them here fixing up my home. Thank you so much !! Marty

R.A.R.E. Restoration has provided us with excellent assistance with water damage starting within a couple of hours of calling them late on a Friday afternoon. Chris immediately knew what to do and worked hard late into the evening. He continued to oversee the our project and advised us along the way of the drying out processes. We highly recommend R.A.R.E.
