Oak Tree Construction Inc 10 months agoOaktree Construction is Hyiam and Valerie Alon. They are a highly unethical, unprofessional company who uses incompetent, unskilled workers, inferior and incorrect materials, bills for work they never performed, retained funds allegedly intended as a window deposit. After they were terminated for serious ethical and building code violations, they kept a 36,000 window deposit. They over charged by 200% as per 4 reputable contractors, who all inspected the work done by Oaktree and described it as the worst work they had ever seen. Their actions were fraudulent. The county of LA cited for unsafe building. The structural engineer cited 12 violations which includes, materials installed upside down, inferior and wrong wood, structural materials, failure to follow the plans, failure to comply with code. This company preys on fire loss victims. 75 % of the work they double charged for has been removed as required by code and must be rebuilt. The building site was filled with rubbish which they purposely left out of retaliation for having been fired. There are many fine and reputable contractors we greatly wish we had chosen. Oaktree is the worst. They take no responsibility for, and are unconcerned with the violations, theft, total incompetence, unskilled and destructive workers, and finessed billing. Avoid at all costs. Both the county of LA and the structural engineer have not signed off on the not you code, poor quality to the point of being described as the worst they have ever seen by 4 other contractors. The materials must be torn out and replaced. Hyiam Alon the owner and contractor has verbally assaulted me, yelling, threatening, making blatantly false statements. He and his wife Valerie Alon, who manipulated our funds for her use, believe they are above the experts and have no regard for building laws, requirements or fir business ethics.

Yannetty Landscape Co 4 years agoMy senior citizen mother contracted with them to do hardscape and landscape work at her home. The costs of the work far exceeded the original estimates (with no cost updates along the way) and owner showed up in person to demand immediate payment. What a disappointment and terrible way to do business Update January 2020 – I did receive Linda’s email, but since all it did was offer excuses and played off her relationship with my sister (in ways that have nothing to do with the work performed for my mother) I didn’t bother to reply. Seeing the only other Google Review at this time shows similar issues, I have no reason to change or upgrade my impression of her work for us or how she conducts business.
