Welte roofing recently completed a siding job on our 1932 Tudor Revival home. Jeremy worked closely and patiently with us to help select the appropriate color and style of siding that would best suit our house. He was always available for questions and responded quickly to emails and telephone calls. He also made several visits to our property with different sample and suggestions for the project. Once the job was underway the workmen were courteous, kind and extremely efficient. Taking special care and precautions to deal with some rather fragile structures near to the house. They worked very quickly and used time wisely and most proficiently. Always a thorough clean up and were open and receptive to adjustments and last minute suggestions to make things look their very best. I cannot speak highly enough of Jeremy and his crew and of Welte roofing. Their pricing was by far the best and the most fair in terms of expense. We felt we were treated as valued and respected customers and would highly recommend this company to any and all. It was a 5 star job done with excellence.

Our house with a slate roof developed a small leak near one of the chimneys (late spring 2023). Welte Roofing came out and fixed the small leak quickly to our great relief. We followed up with a request for a pro-active maintenance plan assuming we would be there for another 30 years. Welte gave detailed recommendations around the replacement of the flashing (two chimneys); scraping, prepping, painting valleys, dormer flashing and vent pipes; inspect and seal leaks in aluminum gutters; repair missing, broken or slipped slate. We accepted their proposal and rather quickly (which delighted us!) they got started. Their crew was dedicated (even in hot July!), polite, informative when querried, and left no trace of their presence at the end of their several work days. The general manager came by a few days after the project was completed to look at the result with me and to address any concerns that I might have. To conclude, my personal experience is that Welte has demonstrated they are a company of the highest quality of service — from easy, clear and prompt communication, to the short-time wait for fixing of a leak, to a comprehensive and affordable ‘scope of work’, to dedication of their work crews (for set up, repairs/installation, and through clean up), and to standing behind their work. I consider myself a well-satisfied and appreciative customer

Crew came out to repair a gutter clip. The guys were very professional and did a great job, however they were only at my house for 15 minutes and the bill was $200. I called to ask why the bill was so high and was told that they charge a minimum of 1 hour and that they state that when you schedule (they did not). When I called to schedule the work this was not mentioned to me whatsoever. Had I known I would have called another company.

They were fairly quick to get out and clean my gutters, but despite me knowing they charge $200/hr, I was not made aware that it was a 1 hour minimum. They were in an out in 10 minutes. That’s $1000/hr for two guys to clean some gutters. Very convenient that they didn’t mention that when scheduling.

When I told them what I was looking for, the person answering the phone said, “well we currently have a four month lead time and it will be $200/hr to look for any issues and then it will also be $200/hr for any actual work.” This place doesn’t deserve anyone’s business with such a blatant lack of customer empathy. Edit for response from the owner: I could have waited, but it’s not worth the wait when it’s obvious you don’t care about new customers. You choose to filter them out by throwing out exorbitant prices before even listening to what they’re asking you for. I wouldn’t trust you to do a good job based on that alone.

I simply asked for a quote for some potential work on soffit venting. The VP, Jeremy, actually stopped by our house on his way to another job. He then sent me a very long, thorough email explaining what he saw and the various options we may have. Most of it actually entailed not using their services. I was so appreciative of him taking the time to stop by our house and send so much information and guidance to us. Definitely a great company in my opinion.

I have had Welte maintain my slate roof for about 38 years. There’s a reason for that.

Welte Roofing is a great company. Employees are courteous, articulate and they know what they are doing. I tried 3 companies to repair a gutter. Two did not contact me after the initial visit. The one which showed up did not repair the gutter. Welte repaired the issue and corrected other small issues. Having been disappointed often with people who work on houses, I am happy to report that Welte will show up and will do the work.
