Inquired an estimate for a chimney cap. They gave an estimate. They said that they would be available in about a month. Waited a month. Then they completely ghosted, they won’t answer the phone or return messages. No professional courtesy, this could have been assigned to a different contractor and the work would have already been done if it weren’t for their misleading communication.

So about 2 weeks ago I had returned home to find my kitchen ceiling leaking. Due to all the rain we’ve been having for like the past 8 years straight! Anyhow it eventually led up to me discovering it was time for a roof replacement. So fast forward to today I had arrived home to my new roof all installed and looking shiny and new. It has shades of blues grays and blacks. Standing back and looking at it, it has a nice blue hue to it. I Really think it updates the look of the house. I love it. I had decided to go with John Family Home Improvements for the install. They we’re great to work with absolutely no pressure at all. I had discovered my issue on a Thursday they were at my home Friday to look things over. Laid out all my options for me repairing vs replacing gave me all the time I needed to make my decision. Once that decision was made it was super quick yet again. Only took about a week turn around to get to the finished product! And I must say the finished looks amazing. If your In need of any roofing work I could not recommend them enough!

Darryn and Michael replaced our Sofit and Facia as well as gutters and downspouts for us. They did quality work at a very fair and honest price. Darryn was always super nice and responsive to our questions and our emails. In addition, they added an inside ceiling on our front porch and it looks fantastic! We are having them come out and do more work for us soon. Would definitely recommend!

I spoke to Darryn at John Family Home Improvements, choosing them specifically after reading their business “our story” on Nextdoor. It stated that they fix other companies mistakes. Darryn understood my issues and after looking at my house gave an estimate and agreed to send an email. As they left they noticed some fascia that was loose and volunteered to include it in the repairs. I texted my email to them but received no reply, even after leaving voice messages on their phone. I’m sure anyone would appreciate a contractor giving you a reply even if they changed their decision to work on your project, so the customer is not left in limbo.

Darryn stopped by at the drop of a hat when we had an urgent need to have some things looked over on our roof. He gave honest advice and was not pushing anything to try to generate work — just objectively assessed the things we needed to have inspected. Knowledgeable, experienced, honest.
