Second purchase from Unique. Had 5 widows installed. I watched over the installers shoulder and he knew what he was doing. They cleaned up after the work and you never knew they where there. I highlr recommend this company.

TAG Renovation. Scope of work; remodel of existing kitchen and half bathroom including flooring and trim, appliances, sinks and fixtures, countertops, tiled backsplash. Along with reconfiguration of existing cabinets, gas line, pantry space and over sink lighting. The good: 1) Initial work of moving cabinets was completed quickly as well as flooring installation. The cabinets that were to be preserved and reused were. 2) Refitting and patch of over sink lighting was/is flawless. 3) Countertop installation was flawless and completed in one working day. Note; installation was done by the company the countertop was purchased thru. 4) Appliance delivery and installation were on time and flawless. Note; appliances were not purchased or installed by TAG Renovation. The bad; 1) Pantry renovations could not be completed by TAG Renovation, as previously discussed and quoted. It was removed from their scope of work and was completed by the homeowner. 2) Two doors for the pantry and one for an added cabinet, to match existing, were to be provided. To date, none have been provided and there are no existing plans with TAG Renovation to fulfill. 3) Gas line for range was supposed to be shortened and relocated to accomodate change from in-counter range to full size. Line was inadequately shortened and was not relocated. Range now sitting too far away from wall ~6″. 4) Faucet fixtures were ordered late causing delays. 5) Electrician was not scheduled in advance causing delays. 6) TAG Renovation had to be asked if they would be carrying the flooring underneath the new range and dishwasher. This ended up being a matter of debate. It was ultimately installed. 7) Upon “completion” of the project, multiple pieces of toe molding were left unsecured and unattached. The Ugly; 1) The flooring has inconsistent seams in areas, some large enough to fit a thumbnail. Some corners have chipping. These areas were pointed out multiple times, plans were made, but was never addressed. 2) The backsplash tile was a nightmare. Two rows of tile were improperly installed, had to be removed and placed again. Grout line thickness is inconsistent throughout the installation. Certain slooters do not meet at 90 degree angles, others are bent. Grout color was inconsistent throughout the installation. This was addressed by the addition of a grout coloring paint(?) that was applied against manufacturer instructions and removed from tiles with a razor blade (see item #3). This was later billed in addition at $80/per hour for a full days work. 3) During the removal of the additional colorant that was applied to the backsplash tiles, specifically the razor blade removal of such, flakes of said dried colorant ended up in the uncured clear silicone caulk that had been applied around the countertops. These flakes settled and cured in the clear caulk that was used. All countertop caulk had to be removed and redone. This remedy was not offered or completed by TAG Renovation. 4) After installation of bathroom vanity unit, the subsequent plumbing to tie the new unit to the existing plumbing began leaking inside the wall and accumulating in the basement and cold air return located below. It was verified to be a leak in the drain line via dye test. After irrefutable evidence, a la the dye test, this was still a matter of contention as to responsibility. It was ultimately corrected by TAG Renovation and an access panel was left for that area, should future need arise. 5) Sink faucet in kitchen has become loose after 4 months.
