I had a few issues with the salesman Alec who mislead me about multiple things while selling me a new roof and siding. First of all, he stated that the work on my house would be done within 2-3 weeks, but it took 4 months. This buisness subcontracts all of their work and they seemed to be very unorganized. Another issue was the fact that we agreed on a 5% discount for paying with cash/check instead of credit card, but when the work was completed that was not honored. There were also some overage charges for wood that needed to be replaced during the project. The company changed the charges 4 times, from $800 to $2400 to $1100 to $550 which are some drastically different prices. Not sure where they got their figures because when I asked for a break down of the extra costs in writing (labor, supplies, etc) the owner Bob refused to provide it. In the end I paid the extra costs without a legit bill for my records and no 5% discount. These all seem like very shady buisness practices and weird that they wouldn’t just itemize the overages. It made me feel like they were picking numbers out of mid air to see what I would pay instead of justifying what I actually owed. Aside from those things, the roofing and siding subcontractors did good work from what I can tell.

Worked with Keaton on estimating project cost and thru project completion. Keaton was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable from start to finish. He understood my expectations and planned project to align. Highly recommend Keaton and the company for roof replacement and/or other projects.

We just had our roof replaced. Alec and his team did a great job. Alec was very professional, friendly and always made sure we were happy with the progress. His team did a wonderful job from beginning to end, including clean up. My husband and I will recommend Alec in the future and ourselves again when the time comes.

I cannot speak to the craftsmanship of this company as I have not had them work on my home. I do know that I am not impressed with their punctuality, however. I had a quote scheduled for today at 5PM at the house I am buying and let West Michigan Roofing know that I would be meeting them there as I had not moved yet. They did not show. The customer service lady was respectful, but could not give me any answers as to where her team was or why they were late. Will take some thorough impressing for me to consider them again.

We had been trying to schedule our roof to be done for 2 years from a company that continued to kick the can down the road for scheduling our project. I finally just decided to call West Michigan Roofing to see what they could do for us. In a matter of less than two weeks from that phone call, we had our new roof! In fact, the actual work at our home was done in only two days! This showed me how good communication and proper planning makes for a very successful project. We were sent a document to educate us on “what to expect”, but honestly, it must have been a document to reflect a worst case scenario. The day they started was the same day the dumpster arrived as well as the material, and the end of the following day, the site was clean, the dumpster gone, and all extra materials removed. The team that actually did the work had to have been a seasoned crew as they worked smoothly and collectively, and yet, you could hear them banter and laugh amongst themselves all day just adding to the positive atmosphere. As an organization, they were always in contact, from the very beginning to the very end, making sure that all our expectations were being met, and if anything was not quite right, it was being handled in quick fashion. Another great thing that makes West Michigan Roofing unique is that they can offer you a “workmanship warranty” that goes right alongside any material warranty giving you extra piece of mind. There will always be bargain roofers out there that will lay a shingle for you at a better rate, but if you want to have a roof done by people that have been doing this for decades and know how to get it done and done right, then I would recommend you contact West Michigan Roofing. Thank you to Mike, our first contact, Jeff for communicating with us every step of the way, and the entire crew for their amazing ability to take our more complex roof system and completely finish the project in record time.
