I hired Byrd to complete restore a house that I purchased. He took 5 month to framing just 4 rooms floors and he kept asking for more money . I gave him $16000 and he barely would show up to work and always would give me excuses to finish the job. All the money I paid was wasted. I had to hire another company that told me that he did all wrong and wasn’t up to code. I had to pay all over again to re do what he did wrong and to finish what he didn’t finish it. when I called him asking to please return some of the money that I paid once he didn’t finish what I paid for ( windows and doors installations, cutting the trees, demolition etc, he refused. He just ask for money and doesn’t finish the job. The company that I hired said that they couldn’t believe that I paid $16000 for a job that was totally wrong , they also said that the material that he used didn’t cost more than $400. I also paid him for the material for electrical instalation ( material and labor) nothing was done and never gave me the electrical material that I paid for. I am super disappointed.

I, initially, hired this company to do a roofing job! When the owner, Byrd, came out, I was told he could perform a full rehab on my small 650 sqft. unit. He completed the roof, so I thought! Therefore I hired him for the renovation on the small unit. I purchased all materials and paid him over $6,000 in labor. He took so long because he was gone for so many days. He also did such shoddy work, I had to let him go! I had to pay another contractor thousands of dollars to repair his work and continue with the project! The roof was supposed to be his specialty, it actually looked good and was reasonably priced! It was completed in mid-July 2023. It is LEAKING already! I reached out and submitted photos of the leak and the cause of the leak to the owner. No one bothered to SEAL the pipe on top of the roof! He took no responsibility and will not HONOR his work! He basically told me to get someone else to fix it! PLEASE STAY AWAY! It is definitely not worth the hassle! I am considering contacting my attorney and the BBB due to the owner’s lack of accountability!
