From start to finish Rich and his crew were amazing. He kept us well informed of the process and was VERY diligent about the cleanliness of our property at the end of each day. I give him major kudos as well because him being the owner he worked just as hard and was on the job site daily checking things and working on areas of concerns. Top quality roofing materials and installation. We’ve used Vet’s Roofing twice now and both jobs have been excellent. The first roof went on in 2019 and in Hurricane Ian we didn’t lose a shingle, but the roof was hit with so much flying debris that it was not worth the repair and needed replaced. Rich and his crew did a great job both times.

We browsed for roofing contractors for quite some time before finally speaking with Richard and Vet’s Roofing. The estimate he provided to replace our roof was very competitive and he was extremely knowledgeable and open about the process. From start to finish, Richard and team went above and beyond. The shingles we wanted were difficult to find in this area but Richard tracked them down and drove up to Sarasota to get them. When it came time to install the new roof, Richard and team had the old materials torn off and the new roof installed and inspected within a couple of days. The whole crew was extremely professional while they were here and clean up post-completion was top notch. We’re very happy with the final results and would definitely recommend Vet’s Roofing to our family and friends.

Review for roof installation by Vet’s Roofing Inc. We have had two roofs installed since moving to Florida in 1996. Both installations were necessitated by hurricane damage, Charlie in 2004 and Ian 2022. Both installations were concrete tile roofs. Such an installation is difficult after a hurricane because of the spike in demand for roof work and materials. After a hurricane it is a stressful time for both the home owner and the roofing industry. Unfortunately it also brings out the criminal elements that prey on people who are in desperate circumstances. The 2004 replacement ran into a material supply problem that delayed the completion for 18 months because of a shortage of roofing tiles. After Ian hit in September of 2022, we screened a dozen local roofing companies through the Better Business Bureau and attempted to contact them. Of the dozen we called two returned our call and one was pushing a metal roof. This company also wanted a high percentage down payment, and would not commit to either a start date or a completion date also whether or not they had access to materials. Some of the other roofing companies did finally call us six to eight months after our phone call to them. A few days after we called Vet’s Roofing Inc. Richard Chmielinski returned our call and an appointment was scheduled to have him examine the roof. Following the examination our communications were mainly by e-mail. Any questions were answered within a day. The price, construction schedule, payment schedule and other terms of the contract were agreed to. The payment schedule was based on the completion of defined phases of the work. There wasn’t a request for a payment when the contract was executed. We met next to select the tile. It was one that we were satisfied with but was not a special order. The crews that did the various phase of the project were diligent in their work, started on time and cleaned the job site each day before leaving. Their work was also supervised and inspected by Vet’s Roofing. The phases of the project were also inspected by the City of Punta Gorda Building Department and each phase passed its inspection without any rework. The inspectors commented to us as to the high quality of the work after each inspection and signoff. After the roof was replaced Richard Chmielinski did a final inspection, checked that the job site was clean and did a final sweep to insure that all roofing fasteners were removed from the lawn. The roof has been in service for a year and has taken a tropical storm event without any damage. Replacing a roof after a hurricane is a stressful experience even for a combat veteran, but Vet’s Roofing Inc. through their business practices and quality of work drained most of the stress out of the experience. We had a commercial roof completely blow off from a storm. Richard from Vet’s roofing responded quickly and was able to secure our roof within a few days. They were very professional and quick to replace our commercial roof and did a great job. We would definitely recommend Vet’s Roofing.

Richard and his team priced replacing our roof fairly during a period of price gouging from other roofing companies, did a fantastic job of replacing our roof, and was consistently cleaning up the property and yard during the installation process and upon completion! I would highly recommend Vet’s Roofing for all roofing repair and replacement!
