They are one of the best roofing companies in Wyoming. Stayed true to the estimated cost. Came when they said they would and got the job done. Everyone from Jim, Jackie, Chewy and the crew were amazing!! I will 💯 refer them in the future. If I could give zero, I might. We engaged with affordable based on a recommendation from my insurance agent. At first, everything seemed great. The came out quick, seemed helpful and eager to do what needed to be done to fix our roofer and gutters after hail damage. They also encouraged us to get new skylights even though they weren’t really needed, but talked things up saying we could get solar velux to open and close automatically. And they went really over the top in making promises to work with insurance to get everything we needed covered. So, up to the point of installation we felt like we were being well cared for and like they were looking out for our best interest. The roof installation was scheduled for about 2 months later which seemed fine given it was still summer and there were so many homes damaged in the hail storm. installation came and they seemed to work really quick and effectively, but not long after they started is when the issues started and I became to realize all the things that should have happened but didn’t, prior to install. First thing we noticed is they brought the wrong skylight. When promised a solar, we got a manual. I attempted to call the sales person right away upon noticing and sadly he could not be reached in any way when previously he was relatively communicative. This is when I realized that they never shared a list of all the parts to confirm prior to showing up to our house and dropping things off. Maybe that’s not customary but it would have saved all of us a lot of time. Then the gutters were installed a few days later. The gutter guy didn’t show up to our house until midday and no one communicated. The service reps assured me it would all get done that day and of course it didn’t. They came back a second day to finish the job. Only it wasn’t finished. They left heat tape could up in bundles causing a safety hazard and didn’t bring clips to install it properly after many conversations specifically about this. We also walked around and found many many issues with the installation even though we continued to be told this guy was the best in the business. From there. Enter the waiting game. Calling in once or twice a week. Being promised calls back. Be promised that they would cover the cost of skylight shades and then taking that back because they chose not to work with a referral we gave them. Switching account managers to only then finally have everything scheduled and being told “we will not leave until everything is done and you are happy” but they sent a third party person who didn’t have the tools, supplies or time to finish everything. Then to having to wait more weeks and not get called back from the people who had been to the house and made promises that they specifically will come back to make it right. Now, 3 months after roof installation, we are in snowy season where we live at 7500 ft in elevation and we are noticing leaking spots in our primary bathroom that we were assured would not happen. And each time I call I get a promise that something will happen and it never happens the way they say it will. If you value proactive communication and immediate action from a service provider, especially when they mess us. Don’t use affordable roofing.

The job was done. Seems fine to me. But “Affordable”? I beg to differ… Shame on me for not shopping around or vetting this process more. This company was recommended to us from our insurance company after we made a hail claim. The contractor came and checked out the roof, confirming it should be replaced and verbally quoted my husband $12-15K. Having never filed a claim before, our insurance agent recommended going through the claim with our roofing contractor. Upon seeing the figure that insurance was giving us (which was approximately $3K more than his verbal quote, including the RCV figure), our roofer suddenly decides that is now the cost to do our roof. To my discredit, we signed the contract there without having thoroughly thought this through, and the roof job was completed. The roofing company has been going back and forth with our insurance, claiming that insurance didn’t cover everything they had to take care of, namely, this ice and water barrier thing that is supposedly a new code since the last time our roof was replaced, so they want to tack that cost ON TOP of the $18K they have on the contract. I don’t understand why that would not have been accounted for in the original $18K since, ya know, they are a roofing company and should know those codes. All in all, the final figure that they are trying to get our insurance to fork over to them through us is more than double that initial verbal quote. I understand that it is all money coming out of our insurance company but had the contractor been true to their word from the beginning, we would have basically paid nothing out of our pocket for all these repairs even with our insurance deductible taken into account. That is obviously no longer the case. I’m just not happy with the way their cost is skyrocketing from that initial verbal number. I feel like our naivety is being seriously taken advantage of. Not to mention, they told us to sit back and relax while they deal with finalizing everything with insurance after the job was done, but it took my husband hand-holding both insurance and the contractor for months to finish everything on their administrative sides so we could receive our certification for impact-resistance and subsequently receive a discount on our insurance premium. That all got held up because no one was putting our case to bed. It’s been 4 months and technically this is still not over.

They replaced my roof, never had I have so many nails all over my lawn, driveway or the mess. They also cut my internet even though I pointed to it not to do it, 10 mins later they cut it.
