I recently hired Standard Roofing to install a new roof on my house. Tony and Lorin came to the initial appointment. They took the measurements, explained my options and answered all questions. The estimate that they sent via email was detailed and everything in it was as we discussed in person. The price was reasonable and competitive. I called Scott, the owner, to discuss payment details and how fast they can start the work. Scott was flexible with scheduling the construction around my planned travel. We picked the start date. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently. They are good hardworking guys. Throughout the process, the team at Standard Roofing was communicative and kept me informed of their progress. They were also respectful of my property and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. Tony followed up with detailed before and after photos. They have a good team. I have a sloped roof. I picked asphalt shingles in moire black color which looks stunning on my roof and has really enhanced the overall curb appeal of my home. Overall, I highly recommend Standard Roofing for anyone in need of a reliable and experienced roofing company.

We had an estimate with Lorin for the roofing job on our detached garage. Standard Roofing was by far the most proffesional and price competitive. I would 100% go with these guys again. Standard Roofing replaced the old roof on my house. I’m very happy with the work. The new roof looks great! I went up on the roof myself to take a look but I also received a lot of pictures from Standard roofing once the work was completed. The communication, scheduling, crew work, garbage removal, payments – all went seamlessly. I highly recommend Standard Roofing!

Standard Roofing was recommended to me by the neighbor. They installed the neighbor’s roof 15 years ago and it still has no leaks. This company has been doing work in San Francisco Bay Area since the 70s. I made an estimate appointment. Talked to the estimators. They explained everything very well. The contract was very detailed. I hired them to remove the old leaking roof and install a new roof on my house. They sent before and after photos of the roof as a follow-up. Standard Roofing did an excellent job. I am very happy with the craftsmanship and the customer service. I recommend this company.

They did a good job on replacing my roof. However, they didn’t notice that the flashing on my chimney was in bad shape and failed to make that important repair. When I hired someone else to do that, they noticed a large sealant spill that Standard just left there. I had to call them and they did clean it up. I just called Standard to make a small repair on the end cap of the gutter in front of my house and not only have they failed to call me back after looking at it, but the guy they sent TOOK that endpiece that had broken off with him and still has it. I wouldn’t use or call this company again and neither should you.

Charged for contracted roof maintenance without doing the work. Still trying to get them to respond to requests to explain what’s going on. Like most residential contractors in the bay … happy to get paid ASAP but expect third rate work

Standard roofing company was in the past a good decent company..but in the last appointment I scheduled with Mr B he has dodged me for 3 weeks after looking at my 20 yr guarantee that never stopped the leaks in the first place. I feel they aren’t responsible enough to be a business anymore. So be warned!
