Based solely on reviews, I ordered a 26 ga bronze fortified galvalume metal roof from Hydes Roofing Co. I am retired & was on site the entire process from delivery of materials until completion. As they neared completion, it became evident that they had not correctly measured the peak apex panels by 4′-6′ short, also coming up short on the hips in other places on the roof. They “patched” the apex panels & placed an expedited order for the longer panels. When the panels arrived, they completed the job. Only problem, the panels from the 2nd order did not match the original panels, not even close. Early Nov 23, I called Hyde to come look at the roof. The owner came out & quickly saw the problem. At that point I showed him the invoice & stated that he was looking at one of his recent jobs. Without hesitation he stated that he owed me a roof & would take care of the problem. Those two statements would prove to be untrue. I told him that all that I wanted was the roof that I paid for & had he shown me a pic of the hybrid patchwork eyesore that I now have, he would have NEVER got the job. He has since been unapologetic & indifferent. In his own words “this was NOT HIS mistake, it is NOT HIS problem & will NOT be coming out of his pocket”HH”! Feel free to verify this review, the roof is in the Pine Grove community south of Bay Minette, at the NE corner of Pine Grove & Tolbert Rd. The apex panel over the front door is the most visible from Tolbert Rd, drive on east past the house, you can look back west & see the east apex peak that was incorrectly measured, also. Mr Hyde has had many months to keep his word & write his own review. As of 5.13.24 I consider this case closed. I will eventually replace the eyesore above me out of my own pocket, having learned that there’s more to a reputable roofer than stellar reviews…,

If you want a Fortified quality roof put on your house make sure you go with Hyde’s. They now include Arctic ice shield over your entire roof. They have great installers that will finish the job in approximately 5 hours!

Hyde’s Roofing did a great job on replacing our hail damaged roof! He was very helpful in dealing with the insurance company and getting the insurance inspection approved! His crew did the tear off and replacement in one long day! He coordinated in getting the damaged gutters and downspouts as well. Herbie had great communication with me throughout the entire process! He made it a relatively smooth process with complicated insurance claims! Kudos!

Had to have my roof replaced due to hail damage. Hyde’s was there every step and worked with the insurance company to get it done in a quick and quality way. They handled everything.

In early Jan 2024 I had extensive wind damage from the wind field of the near miss tornado here in Foley,Al. I contacted Hyde’s roofing to have repairs made to my roof. Herbie and Seth came out within a few hours of my call to address my problems.. After their inspection it was very apparent that my roof was to damaged to repair and would need replaced. After discussing all of my options, I moved forward with the new roof install. The roofing crew was here at 6:00 am and finished up around 3:30 pm. Tarps were placed all around the house to catch the removed roof debris. This roofing crew was extremely professional and curious. And the cleanup was perfect. Now I have a beautiful fortified roof for this upcoming hurricane season. I highly recommend Hyde’s Roofing if you’re in need of roof repairs or replacement.

In May 2023, I contacted several roofing companies regarding the replacement of our roof. The first company I contaced gave me an estimate having never sending a representative or speaking to one outside of the initial call I placed for a quote, which they submitted to my email with pictures used from Google Earth so no further contact would be needed unless I digitally signed accepting their quote. I desperately hoped this was not going to be the case in my search. I am so glad I contacted Hydes Roofing as my second call. The professionalism and courtesy we were shown from Mr. Hyde during the time he took to come out to our property, ensuring all measurements were accurate, and assessing any further issues we would need to consider before, during or after the new installation was exactly what I was hoping to find. Knowing our expenses on this project were already going to be uncomfortable, as is, understanding any issues surrounding work of this magnitude and what unexpected problems can occur can make things worse if not anticipated as possibilities. Mr. Hyde was completely thorough ensuring all our questions were answered and we felt comfortable with the process. The workforce was extremely fast and efficient and had the old roof off and new roof on shortly after lunch time. They were amazing and very courteous. I highly recommend Hydes Roofing for over and above service and expected experience.

The Hyde’s Roofing team did a great job on our new roof. They walked us through our options (shingles vs. metal, etc.), and their price was the lowest among the companies we considered.
