I feel very fortunate that we found the right company to renovate our home. Nick, Mike and crew were professional, meticulous and responsive. Due to unforeseen circumstances (ie Covid), the process was a bit longer than any of us planned. I got to know the crew well and found each of them to be so conscientious. I am a picky person but so were they—always ensuring that the finished product was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend this team. THE Best Of Lawrence for a reason!!!!!

Mike and his team did a beautiful job of remodeling my late 1970s rancher into the home of my dreams. Great communications, completely ethical, quickly responsive to after-the-job tweaks (inevitable once one begins living in the remodeled home), and very close to the timeline we agreed upon. There are may reasons why a big construction project may be delayed–from weather to the cascading effects of mid-way through additions to the job or plan changes (which I did), yet Mike rolled with it all and made it work with less delay than I expected, given that I decided add a kitchen remodel while I had the construction mess anyway. I cannot recommend Construction Specialties highly enough. You can’t go wrong with them!

I am somewhat of a home handyman, but I know my limits and call on the experts when I need a big job done. I also recognize quality work when I see it. I can do many small fixes around the house but when my wife and I needed two complex jobs done to our home I carefully studied the list of home remodelers in Lawrence and chose Mike Warner and Construction Specialties. The first job my wife and I had done to our home was a kitchen remodel. Construction Specialties opened up a wall and built supporting structure in the attic to redistribute the structure’s load, patched the drywall flawlessly, installed new quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, lights, cabinet hardware, crown molding, a new sink and designer faucet, painted the entire kitchen, and re-purposed a cabinet from the wall demolition,. His crew prepared the work area beforehand to keep the rest of the house clean as well as cleaning up afterward. Our second experience with Construction Specialties two years later was to replace a large window unit and sliding glass door. The original contractor of our house had failed to do proper flashing and installation prep, but I watched the new install and Construction Specialties paid attention to detail and did the job correctly. Again, the crew on our job did a great job! Both jobs were done in a very timely manner as nobody likes their home in disarray due to one delay after another. We were very pleased with Construction Specialties. Give them a call for all your home remodeling or construction needs.
