Gary has been our go-to contractor for years on a number of different projects on our home. With each time, he builds an increasing level of trust. We know we are going to get quality at a fair price. In 2018 he put on our deck, which has become the most used room in our house (see picture from our kitchen). Our first call after the 2020 derecho while it was still raining was to Gary. We suffered damage to much of the house (including our deck), and he and his crew made it look great … even better than before the storm. I give Design & Build Remodelers my whole-hearted recommendation to anyone interested in home remodeling or improvement.

We met Gary Phillip by chance on August 10, 2020. The Derecho was devastating. Thanks to our great neighbors sending him our way, he and his crew had tarped and secured our roof within hours of the storm. He was our angel that day and that was the beginning of journey to repair our home. We couldn’t have found a better contractor. Gary is very knowledgeable and professional. His work is second to none. We trusted him completely and are very pleased with the results. The tree that fell on our home damaged the roof, sitting room and master bath so bad that we decided to update the bathroom. A blessing in disguise! We love our new bathroom and gained a new friend. I have had the pleasure of working with Design and Build Remodelers on several occasions, with my most significant project being an extensive exterior renovation. The project involved replacing all of my exterior trim and a full exterior repaint. Gary, the owner, not only provided excellent craftsmanship but also offered valuable insights into selecting a new color scheme that beautifully highlighted the architectural details. Despite the projected 4-5 week timeline, the Derecho of 2020 caused disruptions midway through. Gary ensured our house remained watertight during this unexpected event, prioritizing emergency assistance to other customers with significant damages. Upon Gary’s return, his team completed the project with precision and within the budget. What truly stood out was Gary’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Design and Build repaired a ceiling for me that was water damaged. They did a great job and did it quickly with a minimal of mess since it was in the kitchen area. They found another issue in the attic while doing the work that I had no idea was an issue.
