Hello everyone, I’m writing to share my disappointing experience with Midtown Home Improvements and to warn potential customers. Our process began with a salesperson visiting our home. Since I work in sales, I usually listen carefully to pitches. The presentation was great, and we were excited about adding an awning to our uncovered deck to protect us from the elements. We discussed several options, ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. We wanted a solution that would allow us to enjoy the deck in all weather without creating a fully built outdoor room. The salesperson suggested an option with the potential to add screens later for bug protection, which sounded like a good compromise. Despite initial hesitations, we decided to take advantage of a “Buy It Now” discount of 20% off the lowest price and agreed to the purchase. The awning was installed in February 2024, but upon installation, we noticed that it looked simpler than what we expected. There were no pictures in the agreement documents to compare. I reached out to my sales contact to clarify if there had been a mix-up. The salesperson informed me that we had agreed to the Pergola style for maximum savings, but this style did not allow for the addition of screens. This was not what we expected. I expressed my concerns about the simplicity of the structure—a few beams connected by plexiglass—and questioned the high price. The salesperson assured me that management would contact me. A month later, during heavy rain, we noticed that the awning did not prevent water from dripping inside the covered area. This problem could have been avoided if the awning were 2-3 inches longer. I sent videos of the issue to the salesperson, who again promised that management would reach out. It is now July, and I have received no response from either the salesperson or management. I’m not unreasonable; I just want to understand what we paid for versus what was installed. It seems that we could have done this work ourselves for a fraction of the cost. Despite multiple attempts to get answers, I have heard nothing back. So, buyer beware. We are not the type to leave unjust bad reviews. The installers were professional and polite, but beyond them and the salesperson, I’ve heard nothing. This lack of response is unacceptable. As it stands today, I would not recommend Midtown Home Improvements. Make sure to get everything in writing, including pictures, to avoid similar issues.

I received so many calls from this company ( probably from their marketing that got my info from Angies List or something) trying to come out to do an estimate on a deck project I will working on soon. I finally scheduled an appt. Now, they already had my info, name and property address,etc. and about 1 hour before the appt I received a call apologizing that they couldn’t get someone out here b/c they don’t service my area. Then asked if there was anything else they could help me with? Wow. Atlanta 30311. I asked where were they located he said Marietta.lol

This place has an amazing crew and top notch material. They spent hours with us to get the job perfected and done timely but also with the best material and results. We love our brand new deck and hosting others is finally something I’m be try proud to do.

My patio cover was installed a couple of days ago. As other reviewers, I was also given “the pitch” via a binder. The pricing was $20,000 more than other quotes received, however, the pricing was reduced to a reasonable and competitive rate. Positives: Luke (Sales Manager) is great! He stayed in touch through the entire process and answered all my questions. Brandon (Project Manager) is also great! The 3-man crew was nice and work very efficiently. Negatives: Wasn’t expecting so much everywhere…trash, tools, etc. (however, the crew did clean up at the end). The debris (breakdown of pallets, trash bags) was not removed at the end of the project. It’s been nearly 3 days and the trash is still sitting on the side of my house. The crew played music a little loudly when arriving the 2nd day at 8am. Had to ask them to turn it down for respect for my neighbors. I believe I have a beautiful, finished product and addition to my home. It’s my hopes that this company keeps it word that if there are any issues, they will have the same sense of urgency to respond as they did to obtain my business.

I really like their work, but the sales tactics they use are straight out of the 80’s. It’s a sit down pitch where you get shown a book of their credibility, the brought along for the 4 yes’s, starts with an inflated number followed by a today only deal. It’s funny to see this type of pitch in use today. I was still doing my research but wouldn’t go with this type of company just based off of their sales model, it’s super old school. I’m also probably not their target market.

I didnt have the correct category to chose from for this review. The company rep. came to my home, go dimensions and gave me a quote to install vinyl siding,(21 squares) , and a bow window. On the estimate document, it startarted out as $62,000.00. That was marked down to $54,000. I wouldn’t commit to their company doing the work. I always get estimate from multiple people. He gave me a today only offer of $42,000. I told them no. I got two other estimates, one at $33, 000, the other at 21,000(both at reputable companies). Do you homework prior to committing to a company

Can’t give 5-star. We are going past 3 months to get our windows totally finished. Two windows wrong size. Now we are waiting on final window replacement that came broken. Each time we had a 3 or more week wait. When something is screwed up, I don’t see why your “supplier” can’t do a small rush order instead of putting us back of the line.
