Our home is more than 133 years old. One thing we struggled with from the beginning was our kitchen. We looked for a company to help us figure out our options to fix the problem, be it an expansion or reconfigured space, then design and execute on the idea. The original idea was to build an annex, however CHW’s architects advised against it as it would likely take much longer than rethinking the space within the current footprint of the house (city permit lead times). We went with a floor remodel that entailed moving of the kitchen to another place, and taking down a wall to improve the flow. We also added another HVAC zone and an AC unit for the top floor, plus updated one of the bathrooms on the second floor. We’re busy people with kids and don’t have the bandwidth to manage multiple parties, coordinate hand-offs between architects, engineers, construction and deal with the city. We definitely found a perfect partner in CHW. Their approach to project management, subcontractor-client coordination, adherence to the original timeline, listening to our wants and needs, and keeping us out of any unnecessary issues was impressive. On any hurdle that CHW faced that required our involvement they brought to us in in a constructive way, i.e. a solution or two to choose from incl. pros and cons. This way the process didn’t stall. Their people are intelligent, pleasant to work with and for the most part are efficient in their communication. They definitely know what they are doing and we highly recommend CHW for any complex project like ours.

My husband and I worked with Classic Homeworks on plans for an attic remodel and bathroom addition, and they have been a joy to work with! We had a very professional and kind team who really earned our trust. Once getting the plans and bids, we realized we need to save up more before starting construction, and they were very understanding and we never felt pressure to spend more than we could. When we start construction, we will absolutely keep working with CHW to manage the project because we know they will do it right and save us from as much stress as they can.

I’ve had the crew at Classic Homeworks complete two large jobs for me in the last 4 months. Kitchen remodel and gutter/soffit/facia repair/replacement. Both were excellent experiences and the team at Classic Homeworks provided the best customer service. Highly recommend!

This is our second project with Classic Homeworks and were once again very pleased with the entire process from design to completion. It is the first time we worked with Jessica and she went above and beyond to make sure the communication was open and transparent, delays were explaned and rescheduled as quickly as possible. Jessica oversaw the entire project and made sure it was up to her standards as well as ours. Yes, we highly recommend them and will use them again if needed in the furture. Jessica was a delight to work with as were their contractors.

We were paying clients of this company and spent many months working with them on a sizeable remodel we wanted to do on our historic home. For numerous reasons we were severely disappointed during the process and did not make it to construction. We have since moved on to a different firm and wish we had done this sooner. We do NOT recommend working with Classic Homeworks.

I can’t say how happy we are with the project that classic Homeworks did for us. Is was a complicated job that others were hesitant to take on. They were on budget and on time for completion.

We used Classic Homeworks for a 1st floor remodel of our 1908 Dutch Colonial. They were professional and approached the project as a partner. Erin and the team were able to take our thoughts and implement them in a great way. Highly recommended!

A+++ Highly recommend. We completed a remodel of our second floor; bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Took about 5 months all in. Our house is about 100 years old, so we needed someone with experience with older homes. The entire process was seamless, onsite work was very clean and professional. The work is outstanding. We compared costs across a few places, Classic’s bid was right in the middle, they offer full design and build and project management Vs just contracting. For us, this was the exact right model. Made the process really smooth.
