Ventoni Construction – Home Builders Edinburg, TX 2 years agoWe had a home built by Antonio Guajardo/Ventoni Construction. We were very excited as this was our first home. But instead of a wonderful, exciting experience it turned into a nightmare. There were so many problems and delays (not due to supply issues) it would take too long to list every detail on what was wrong and continues to be wrong with this house. It was and continues to be a truly horrible experience. The contract stated four months for building. Mr. Guajardo kept giving us timelines of completion that were never met and my first home turned into ten months of frustration and emotional distress. During the building process I was frequently at the house to view the progress. There was never any supervisor present when I was there. I pointed out some obvious deficiencies so they could be fixed before it was too late. Some were and some were not. (One example is sinks in one bathroom were placed wrong according to the architectural plans.) At ten months, Mr. Guajardo insisted on closing without finishing details that needed to be done to complete the house. Asking for items to be fixed with our new home warranty was useless. Since we moved in, we have hired a roofer, carpenter, painter, plumber, landscaper, and electrician to fix issues found in and outside the house. At fifteen months, the kitchen sink fell to the floor. I contacted Mr. Guajardo and was told the glue was defective, not his problem. We were told, after we hired someone to fix it, there was no bracing used to hold up the style of sink installed. On January 20, 2022 the three toilets and two showers got backed up with waste. The city came and checked and I was told the problem was in the house. The next day a plumber came to unclog the pipes and found the pipe connecting to the sewer was broken. Thankfully the plumber was able to fix everything. It is unbelievable that so many problems in a new house have occurred, continue to occur, and the thousands of dollars we have spent to get them corrected. If you are considering this builder, don’t. In my experience, the quality of materials, workmanship, and management is bad. Don’t waste your time and money on this builder.

PinPoint Construction 2 months agoI am going to split this review in two, a review for the home, a review for their customer service. The home itself is beautiful, well designed, spacious and in my opinion the fixtures feel and look high quality. The only issues i see is that there are a few light switches that don’t do anything, some of the clay in the tile is already losing its color and the paint from the cabinets feels like it’ll peel right off. I give the home a 2 out of 2.5 stars. Their customer service, is in need of improvement. We moved into a home full of construction dust, we’re lied to that appliances were connected (they were not), there have been ignored calls, emails and text messages. I understand I am not their only client but it does feel like I never was with how poorly they respond. There is small damage to the stucco outside of the home that they’ve known about for a month that still has not been fixed, I still can’t get the warranty docs despite being told they were ready and being told they would be dropped off twice (no one showed up – no call was made to tell me), I went to the office and came home without them. I will admit that the owner does seem to care but he does not have time to address everything himself and either needs more staff or a new one. He proved this when we alerted him that the gate is on the wrong side. He tore down the work that had been done and had it done the way we talked about. 0 out of 2.5 stars.
