We interviewed several kitchen remodeling companies but ultimately went with Kitchen Design Concepts (KDC) to design and remodel our kitchen. It’s always difficult finding and hiring services that will take the same meticulous care and passion on your home like you would yourself, but Kitchen Design Concepts met and exceeded our expectation. We absolutely love our new and improved kitchen remodel and makeover. From initial introductory meeting with Mary-Kathryn, to working with KDC kitchen designer Rebecca and their general contractor Mike, the entire project went seamlessly and finished on-time. We loved working with Rebecca on the kitchen design. She really listened to our needs and offered several different design ideas and elements to fit our large family’s needs. She also gave us a sense of the latest kitchen trends and provided fresh ideas that helped make our kitchen unique and truly ours. The 3D CAD modeling Rebecca created helped visualize all aspects of the kitchen remodel and made us comfortable with tweaks before final design lock. We were so amazed with her 3D kitchen rendering that at our request she also redesigned our pantry, wine bar area and even our mudroom. Working with KDC’s general contractor Mike was a breath of fresh air. He was always responsive to our concerns, questions and needs, and always kept us informed of important project milestones. He was consistently onsite to coordinate and followup on contractors’ work and made sure every aspect of the kitchen, wine bar and mudroom projects didn’t miss a beat. We also had Kitchen Design Concepts re-surface and re-stain our entire downstairs and upstairs hardwood floors, which Mike personally oversaw (Rebecca helped pick floor stain color). His detailed knowledge of our projects, and responsiveness and friendly demeanor made working with Mike a joy and pleasure. We also liked KDC’s hired contractors, particularly the cabinet install guys, painters and counter top contractors. Our kitchen remodel was a complete tear down of the old and rebuild of a new kitchen which included all new kitchen cabinets, removal of butler’s pantry in place of a complete redesigned pantry and creation of separate coffee room, all new kitchen appliances, new kitchen island, beautiful new counter tops and one of kind backsplash. It is now our most favorite room in the house. The mudroom was completely redone to make it more usable for our large family and our wine bar area transformed. KDC has a motto “no regrets” and we can say without a doubt we have none…we love our new spaces. I can’t say enough good things about Kitchen Design Concepts, their work and their people. I highly recommend them for any kitchen remodel project, large or small. Or any other remodel project for that matter.

Contacted them for a shower/bath remodel. They asked for photos which they received, and gave an appt. I was so looking forward to it. I even got there 15 minutes early. Receptionist’s answer was that my appt. did not sync with designer’s calendar. They offered to reschedule . Nope. Won’t go back. Owner could have called to apologise , but didn’t happen . Such poor customer service.

We worked with KDC on a kitchen project as well as a built in shelving/murphy bed unit in our den. They were efficient and professional. We are so pleased with the results! It was a pleasure to work with them and we certainly will do so again. We just finished up our second experience working with KDC and it was just as positive as the first! Their craftsmanship in our kitchen work is outstanding. Highly recommend their team!

I just completed my second project, and I could not be happier! As a repeat customer, there are so many things about KDC that I value. First, KDC brings a turnkey solution to every project. They have fabulous designers (thank you Lane !) who get to know you, understand what design style works best for you and your family, and are also knowledgeable about the latest product solutions that are available. They are extremely organized! KDC has been in the remodeling business for 20 years. They know exactly how long a project should take, they assigned an experienced project/construction manager to every job who keeps you informed every step of the way. My manager was Mike, and he is so professional, focused on customer service – whether that is making sure the driveway is clear, I know when the water might need to be turned off for a few hours, or ensuring the work is done right the first time! KDC also has an amazing group of trade partners that they have worked with for years. They are thoroughly vetted, trustworthy, and do excellent work. As a homeowner, I felt entirely comfortable having them in my home. The finished project is just beautiful! This is the second time I have used KDC to redo a kitchen in a home. I loved using them and would give them my highest recommendation!

We’ve been wanting to update our original 1995 kitchen since we bought our house. When we finally got serious about it, we narrowed our search to 3 contractors. Ultimately we decided to go with KDC after meeting Mary Katherine to discuss our plans. Our designer, Katie, was awesome! We couldn’t have asked for someone better. She encouraged us to go outside of our comfort zone, choosing colors we wouldn’t normally, and we are very happy with the result. She definitely has an eye for design and remodeling our kitchen would have been nearly impossible without her guidance. There were some hiccups at the beginning when our project manager left the job, but the project coordinator, Zach, stepped in to take over the project and he’s the best! He’s so responsive and reassuring. I’m sure he got tired of us nitpicking everything, but he was always happy to help and always addressed all of our concerns. The subcontractors were all top notch. We love the Victors. And the cabinet installer, David, was great. And I can’t forget the floor guys! They managed to match the new floor stain to the existing floor seamlessly. And all of the subcontractors were very careful in our house and made sure to clean up at the end of each day. We were very anxious about being without a kitchen for several months, but overall, KDC made it just about as painless as it could be. We definitely plan on using them in the future for our other remodeling projects.

Please consider Kitchen Design Concepts for your next kitchen remodel in Dallas. They do bathroom remodeling and other stuff too! They are not cheap but do exactly what they say they will do and if certain things don’t go right they will fix without charging. Like I said-they are high-end home remodel designers but always do the right thing. We have had our kitchen remodeling project entered in design competitions and were pictured in magazines. Just had our bathroom remodeled, and because of a photo shoot we expect the same for it. Ask for Katie. She is a great kitchen and bathroom designer and tries to keep within your budget.

I have my dream kitchen. KDC made the process as painless as possible, and I am happy with everything we did. It really did feel like a partnership and I will definitely do another project with them in the future.
