Our Coram Design remodel is complete and we are just incredibly happy with the results. Michael Chung is a true professional and his entire team at Coram Design are amazing to work with. We did a full house remodel that took 10 months and the Coram Design team were here 6 days per week almost every week of that 10 months – all of them are really skilled, knowledgeable, very friendly, and have a great work ethic. Michael and his team added 7 feet to our kitchen at the front of the house and completely modernized the kitchen with a big island; added 12 feet to the back of the primary bedroom and included a new walk-in closet and a new office space; reorganized and totally upgraded the primary bath; took up all of the subfloor in the house and added in new joists; installed new electrical and new plumbing throughout; installed new roofing and a new skylight in the entryway; added new siding to the front of the house and new stucco on the sides and back; installed new windows, a new front door, and new interior doors throughout; installed new wood floors throughout with new tile floors in the bathroom and laundry room. Michael has checked in with us after they were finished to be sure there aren’t any issues, repairs or touch-ups needed – there aren’t! A note that Coram was referred to us by a friend who simply had her kitchen remodeled by them, and it only took 3 weeks, so I know that they are amazing no matter the size of the job. Save yourself time in your contractor search – and just go straight to Coram Design.

Coram renovated our home in Toluca Lake and did an amazinggggggg job. Michael and his team went above and beyond to satisfy our vision for our future home. At first, I was nervous with this project, because I’ve heard so many stressful stories/bad experiences with contractors(professionalism, budget, due date etc). Coram totally changed my stereotype and proved that home renovation can be fun and stress free. The team was always there to guide and support us throughout the entire journey. The renovation finished in timely manner within the budget. The result was absolutely beyond what I expected, and I am so excited to start our new life at this beautiful home Coram helped create. I would 1000% recommend Coram Design Center to my friends and family.

Our home’s dated primary bathroom was years overdue for a complete overhaul. It needed to be torn down to the studs and totally rebuilt. We had never done a major remodel, and especially one as complex as a bathroom. After interviewing five different five-star general contractors, we decided that Coram had the most relevant design experience and expertise, would provide the best customer service, and would meet our needs best. It was absolutely the right decision. Although they were not the least expensive option, you really do get what you pay for, and their price was both competitive and very fair for the extremely high quality of the work. Michael and his team of David, Sean and Tritia worked closely with us to outline and explain the scope of work in detail. We did not need much in the way of design services, since we had generated our plans with the help of an independent interior designer. Coram honored our preferences but did not hesitate to politely inform us if a feature would not work out as planned, and then they recommended workable alternatives. For example, they advised removing our proposed bathtub, which we were planning to incorporate just for show, and instead going with a large shower, which we use daily and really appreciate. The team was honest, trustworthy, communicative, and responsive during the entire project. In addition to providing updates on Buildertrend, they set up a group text which we used effectively on an almost daily basis for information, updates, and actions. The quality of the work from the subcontractors, especially Leo and his team, was also exceptional. They did a highly professional job, paying careful attention to detail and doing the job right the first time, cleaning up at the end of each day and being respectful of the neighbors. They also responded quickly to any items that needed to be tweaked; for example, two doors needed to be slightly realigned in order to close properly, and Coram fixed them promptly. The project did take somewhat longer than originally forecast, but that was not unexpected for a job of this complexity, including the careful handling of porcelain wall tile slabs and a quartz vanity top slab, and building three custom wood cabinets. Bottom line is that everything was built and installed to very high standards, everything works as it should, and we are delighted with the results! In parallel, we also worked with Michael and his team to get the exterior of our house painted. Our designer had recommended paint brands and colors; we needed only to supply the paint, and Coram provided the painter crew who did a careful and quality job of painting the siding, stucco, shutters and trim; we are confident that the results will last and look great for years.

I know Coram team for over 10 years and my experience with them has never been matched. I hired them 10 years ago when I bought a new place in Pasadena requiring to do a big remodel to the place I purchased. There was large list of items in need to be redone, like remodeling the kitchen, bathrooms, windows, flooring, etc. My ask was to compete the remodeling in three weeks prior to us moving in. On the Friday three weeks later, the new place was done as discussed, with no additional whining or ask for more money. The only ask from Coram was to take my shoes off so the crew could take some final pictures that they could add to their portfolio of completed houses. Ever since, I have recommended Coram to multiple close friends and family and they never disappointed. In the last few years we became partners in various real estate deals that we embarked together. We always had trust and good understanding among us and at never point in time we had any issues. Unfortunately, in the last year my family and I have moved to the east coast having bought a new place in NY. We have gone through three set of contractors to complete some pre or post move remodel. All of the experiences never came even close to Coram’s experience. Lastly, I have just sold an townhome investment also in Pasadena through Coram. In addition to Coram helping me remodel the old place and get it to show at its best, I was totally amazed of their ability to represent and navigate us toward closing on a price higher than what I initially expected. In short, should you chose Coram, you can count on an amazing tandem with lots of honesty, experience and promptness that can help you with any remodeling, marketing your current place or buy your new place.

I highly recommend working with Coram on anything related to rehab/selling a house. I personally used Coram for the rehab as well as the my listing agent. For rehab–Coram was absolutely professional and efficient. They made me understand each of the actions they were taking and why. They also put it in layman’s terms for me to understand. Overall, it seemed like they were really top-of-the-line in terms of their service, but they also were super approachable and took time to answer any questions I had. They set expectation (timeline, budget, etc.) and they met/exceeded EVERY SINGLE ONE. Overall, I went in thinking that a rehab will be a pain no matter what, but came out a believer that it isn’t really that bad after all if you have a good advisor (like Coram). For listing agent–these guys know what they are doing. I was able to get multiple competitive offers within a few days; I was able to sell at above my listing price (during Nov 2022, when interest rates were skyrocketing and all houses were lowering their asking price); and I was able to close within three weeks. I’m sure each deal is different, but I’m sure I couldn’t have gotten this without Coram. Parting words: these guys are top-notch and if you have a chance to work with them on anything, do not hesitate to do so.

Simply put – Coram Design Center is AMAZING! I gutted my home and Coram helped make my dream a reality. It was an ugly duckling that they turned into a swan. Coram replaced everything: subfloors, drywall, plumbing, electric, heating and air conditioning, cabinets, flooring, windows, doors, etc. From start to finish they were professional, detail focused, responsive, and offered cost alternatives (always looking out for me which in turn saved me money). They have integrity and take great pride in their workmanship. I recommend them highly! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

I hired Coram for a bathroom renovation and I am glad that I chose Coram over other contractors. I highly recommend Coram because Coram is the best choice if you’re looking for a stress-free and smoothly executed renovation. Coram Design Center is a company I would use again and again. I do not hesitate singing Coram’s praises and recommending them to my friends and family. They are a trustworthy company with reliable team members. Everyone goes into remodel projects anticipating huge obstacles and delayed timelines. However, that was not the case for us. Michael and his team were incredibly attentive, responsive, and just an overall easy crew to work with. If you are looking for a team that’s going to work with you, provide any input you need/want, and give you peace of mind during the whole process, I would look no further and go with Coram Design Center.
