We did a kitchen renovation in Wauwatosa with Tamarack including counters, sink, cabinetry, electrical, flooring, and paint. The project was incredibly well run from start to finish. – At every step, we were involved for input, connecting us with the various suppliers/showrooms to make design choices and confirming that the work was still meeting our goals throughout. We never felt at any point like we were “stuck” with something we had chosen. – We were not stuck contacting and coordinating the various trades ourselves; it was run by Tamarack including a full trade review before the project to align all areas before any work started. We also felt comfortable communicating freely with the various trades who were working onsite at any given time in case we had concerns or questions. Any concerns were addressed. – Unlike others we have worked with, Tamarack properly handled all the permits and we confirmed with the city they were recorded and closed. – There were no wasted days. Even with unexpected changes to personal schedules, Tamarack moved various scheduled work around and made sure every day was fully used to keep the timeline on track. Most importantly, we love our new kitchen!

Matt at Tamarack Renovations was a pleasure to work with making our basement into a usable space. We never thought it would be possible to finish our basement in any way, but Matt made it a reality. Matt was always very upfront about pricing and did all of the management of subcontractors (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, tile, flooring and egress window). Our project was right on budget for what we agreed on at the beginning and a week ahead of schedule! Also, Matt did all of the framing and finish work. He has an amazing attention to detail. Spotting even the smallest blemish that we would have never seen. He is definitely a perfectionist in the best way. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and hope to work with Tamarack Renovations again in the future.

We decided to renovate our 100+ year old home after being here for 27 years. Although we loved the craftsmanship of our old home it was in need of updating and design changes. Our goals were to redesign our crowded kitchen, half bath, and back entry foyer. On the second floor our primary bathroom needed to be expanded and updated. Finally, we wanted to add a family room and add a second full bathroom to our unfinished basement. With such an old home, there were underlying issues. Water pressure was low, there was knob and tube wiring throughout much of the house, and the heating / cooling system needed updating. It was going to be a complicated project. We already had a relationship with a kitchen cabinet and design specialist, John Phillips, The Cabinet Maker, LLC. After discussing our renovation ideas with John, he put us in contact with Matt Hafemeister of Tamarack Renovations, LLC. We had a series of meetings with Matt as he toured our home and interviewed us about our renovation goals and budget concerns. He returned with a comprehensive bid that included alternatives to best fit our project scope and budget. Matt was the consummate professional who was attentive to our wishes while integrating the new design to blend in with the traditional elements of our home. Throughout the project he maintained constant communication with us while following a strict schedule. He managed the entire project from design and demolition to the final finishing touches. The subcontractors he hired: plumbers, HVAC, electrician, drywall installers, painters, and flooring installers were all first rate. We were very impressed by Matt’s attention to detail, his understanding and working relationships with all of the trades, his communication skills and how he always put our needs first. We are extremely happy with the completed project and are enjoying living in our now new /old home. We highly recommend Tamarack Renovators, LLC.
