Had a sewer backup. I needed someone immediately and after calling 5 different places, they worked me in. Kenny was absolutely amazing! Very professional and kept me abreast of everything he was doing. After almost 3 days of not having working toilets, he made it happen. I highly recommend them. Thanks so much!! I was in the process of selling my home in central Virginis. JL Bishop was contracted to perform septic system inspection and pump the septic tanks to comply with Va. state inspection requirement for home sale. The inspection took place and the company informed me that the system distribution box must be replaced for additional charges. I agreed to the repairs and I emailed said service company to beware of in-ground irrigation system during the excavation work. I requested that I be present when work began to help locate any underground irrigation system pipes. I was present at the beginning of the excavation and located the irrigation pipes. After the pipes were located, I had to leave to go to the airport and asked the workmen to call me if they had any problems during the distribution box installation. I heard nothing more and assumed the work completed without incident. 5 days later on the day of the home sale closing, the buyers completed a final home walkthrough. The real estate agent called and said that there was a big hole in the yard with broken pipes exposed and that the closing would be delayed until the problem resolved. I had my agent inspect and confirmed the problem. I called JL Bishop and spoke to the owner and he said no one told him the pipes and been damaged. I explained that I could have had the damaged pipes repaired if I had been informed. He said he would have someone go over there the next morning and make repairs. The next afternoon I went and discovered that no repairs had been done. I finally had to contact a irrigation company to make the repairs and the home closing was delayed 3 days – due to non-professional and non-responsive service by JL Bishop Contractors. I would never recommend this company to do any work.
