In June of 2019 our house flooded and we contracted Strom Home to function as GC for the entire project – it was a large one as 75% of our home sustained damage. In the beginning and even through the depths of COVID we were able to get the job finished and move back into the house in September of 2020. However, an important portion of our AV & electrical work has not been completed even though Strom Home has received payment for it. It turns out that John Strom has not paid the sub contractor even though he received the money from us. As a result we will need to find another AV/electrician to finish the work and it will be at a higher price than what we paid. I am very disappointed in John Strom as he has stopped responding to our calls, emails and texts. His crew were lovely – courteous and very detail oriented. However, I cannot recommend Strom Home as a result of the fact that they have been paid for work and it’s not done because the sub contractor hasn’t been paid. I am also filing a complaint with Nassau County as well. John – if you read this, I will be more than happy to change my rating if you do the right thing and pay the AV/Electrical company so we can finish the job.
