Rusty Smid, the owner and president of Rusty Construction LLC, has asked me for a recommendation and I am pleased to do so, since it will be based not just on opinion but on actual experience. He very recently did a brand new roof on my house, completely discarding the 20-year-old-one, piece by piece. He also replaced the skylight in the main bathroom, and put a new ceiling in a bedroom that had been damaged by a leaky roof. All the above done with the skill of an experienced and excellent craftsman. I strongly recommend him for any job, small or big. And if a numerical analysis were needed, it would be a 10 out of 10.

We have been working with Rusty since 2008. We have watched Rusty grow his business and talent over many years. When we first contacted Rusty, we hired him for painting one room in our home. While he was here, we found out everything he had to offer and he quickly became our go to guy for all odd jobs, such as changing out fixtures, hanging mirrors, painting, etc. From there we learned just how talented, trustworthy, and reasonable Rusty truly is. When we needed to renovate our basement, we knew Rusty was our guy. He completely renovated the entire basement including removing walls, creating a laundry room, a pantry, a bar, and adding a half bath. That project was done in 2009. The next big project we did was renovating an old 60’s style bathroom to bring into this century. Again, we knew Rusty was the contractor for us. He completely transformed our old dingy bathroom into a gorgeous room. The most recent and largest project we had Rusty do is renovate our kitchen. This involved removing a wall and completely changing the kitchen. Our kitchen is now stunning, and we could not be happier with the results. Rusty is so meticulous in every detail of his work. You can tell from initial meeting with him that he takes great pride in what he does. He listens to what you are looking for and offers his suggestions. I have recommended him to many people and every single one of them says the same thing, Rusty is great! He is truly one of kind and we are so fortunate to have found him. You will not be disappointed in working with him.

My wife and I had put off renovating our kitchen because we were scared of the many horror stories we had heard. That was until we met Rusty, through a mutual contact. Rusty brought us peace of mind and a great deal of comfort throughout the entire process. He is kind, transparent, honest, reasonably priced, and trustworthy. His work is clean and thorough, and he does whatever he can to make his customers happy with the final product. Rusty is a true professional that my wife and I had the pleasure of using for a laundry room renovation project. My wife and I had a vision and a plan for this project. Rusty has completed several projects in our home such as installing a deck, sliding patio doors, renovating our office, building an outdoor kitchen, backyard pavers and renovating our family room. He is reliable, experienced, dedicated and caring. His prices are very reasonable. One thing I love about Rusty is that he takes the time out to listen to your ideas and then puts his own spin on things which makes the end result of the project amazing.
