From start to finish Shawnee Mission Builders “SMB” were professional and competent. The quote came in very competitive with all other quotes I had received from about 5 local companies for a full master bath remodel. The process of meeting a designer and bringing our vision to life was way easier than I thought it would be and they helped us find the right combos of colors and tiles that would make our vision come to life. Once the work began, every employee who was involved with the project were polite and friendly and most importantly did an extremely good job. They left my house cleaned up at the end of every day to the point you really couldn’t tell if there was any major work going on. As with any large project, hiccups happen and when they did, they listened to my concerns and everyone from management down got on the same page and corrected any issue immediately. After everything was said and done, the project came out beautiful and was exactly what we wanted our Master Bathroom to be. Without a doubt I would hire SMB again for any and all remodeling work for my home.

Shawnee Mission Builders did a wonderful job on our master bathroom! New cabinets were built in their shop, the tile was set perfectly, the paint job was excellent. Our new shower is just what we wanted. The workers were friendly and cleaned up at the end of the day. SM Builders also did our kitchen a few years ago, the work was excellent!

It was a pleasure meeting all of the people connected with Shawnee Mission Builders. (Keith, Joe, Aaron, Sam & Rick) They did a fantastic job. We love our new kitchen! Every time I walk into the kitchen, I can’t believe it’s mine. We are over the moon!

We selected Shawnee Mission Builders for a bathroom remodel and I’m sure glad we did. Mike, Ricky, and Sam were great guys and did amazing work. It was like they were working on their own home. We couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you for an outstanding new bathroom.

SMB had done work for us in the past and we were very satisfied with their work. This time was very different. I set up a time for an estimate back in July. The appointment time came and went and no response. I called and was told that they were not showing a time. They apologized and came out. I understand that mistakes happen and appreciated their acknowledging their error. The estimate went well. He mentioned that they were backed up due to everyone being home and doing repairs. I said I understood. At the conclusion of our meeting, he said he should get an estimate to us in the next 1-2 weeks. I let it go 5 weeks and just called back. I asked about the bid and was basically blown off. He said they were really busy and kept saying he “didn’t want to hold us up”. Yet he offered no timetable at all for when they could get to us (this was for the bid, not the actual work). He mentioned he’d “like to do the work for us”, but those were nothing more than hollow words as absolutely nothing else in the phone call indicated any interest in our project. If there was never any interest in our project, I guess I don’t understand wasting my time or theirs. It was just confusing to hear a company refuse doing business with someone who had already been extremely patient with them already.

Spoke to Don who came out to the house for an estimate. He said he would email us. No email Friday, or Monday. Called Tuesday, and spoke to Janelle, she said Don was on a job site and that he would call me back. No call or email from Don on Tuesday. Today I called and got Janelle again, advised her we would be looking for another contractor if they couldnt get us the estimate. She said they were working on it, and that Don was waiting for the granite company to call him. We found that puzzling since we had told Don when he came to the house that we didnt want granite. Don then finally called me back while I was on the phone with another contractor and left me a voicemail saying good luck in our search. Apparently they now wont even do the estimate at all? Totally unprofessional. Dont trust these people with your home.

Thoroughly top shelf experience using Shawnee Mission Builders to implement a complete kitchen remodeling. Don and his folks were very courteous and great to work with, keeping us informed on progress and the timetable throughout the project. We love the results and will use SMB again for some other projects we have in mind down the road.

Complete remodel of downstairs family room, including half bath. We walked Don through what we wanted and what our budget was. He explained all our options and helped us decide on the best most cost-effective solutions. The crew was exceptionally courteous and performed the work in a professional and timely manner. The finished product is perfect; exactly as I envisioned it. Will be using them again for a bath remodel. Highly recommend you give them a try.

Shawnee Mission Builders were professional, did the highest quality of work, and always left the job neat and clean. They listened to what we wanted for our basement finish and were very easy to communicate with. We are very pleased with beautifully finished basement. It is exactly what we were hoping for, and we would hire Shawnee Mission Builders for future projects.
